Well, the 15th has come and gone and its still not quite ready. I'm neither surprised nor disappointed. I'd rather have it done right than done too quickly. For content, pictures from today:

They took the doors off of the '83. There was lots on bondo on the originals. Also, I get the power mirrors!

Almost looks like you didn't do all that work to it! Good Job!

Great job there, nice to see someone putting together a resto thread, especially on a 79 LE. I'm particularly interested in this as I am working on getting a 79 (not an LE unfortunately) with no rust really to speak of right now. Interior needs a little help, but everything else seems to be in good order on the car. The engine is in extremely good shape and runs perfect, didn't even stumble once when I looked at the car. I'll probably start a little thread on my 79 when the time comes to start fixing it up a bit, assuming everything works out and I get the car.

Well, come to find out the shop missed a couple things. They forgot the front valance, both bumpers and the door jambs. I took the bumpers back, the valance was still at the shop and they're sending a guy to my house Friday to do the door jambs. Better to do that than to have to haul the car to the shop and back again.

For content though, here is my new intake system. I forgot to mention that after I removed the rats nest and a friend of mine and myself installed a custom exhaust before it went into the shop. I'll probably start another thread on how we made the exhaust, but here's a picture of the intake. You can also see the pacesetter headers. Please excuse how dirty it is, the hood was removed at the shop so its dusty.

What a great job! It was fun going through all the pics you posted. The car is looking really good! Congrats!
