I think i'm going to have to look into that ebay steering wheel spacer you have there. I've just been coping with little to no leg room or brake pedal feel for years on the stock wheel. Did that setup retain the stock wheel mounting nut?

It's a Momo hub that actually attaches to the steering column, but yeah it retains the stock 21mm nut.

Much better than dealing with no leg/knee room

Found my exhaust rattle btw, the wastegage actuator rod had come loose. Explains both the rattle, and the lack of boost response. Car is 100% better now

Nothing much new mechanically on this one lately, just been driving it a few days a week. Really need to get A/C in it though....

Decided to take some time and start cleaning up some of the flaws in the body work. Some water was trapped in the sail panel vent (from wet sanding it prior to paint) That came out when I was unmasking the car. The paint had flashed off by that point, but was still very soft and the water left a bunch of little dimples as it ran down the side of the car. I also had a few bugs land in it and other random crap like that. Wetsanding and buffing the whole car takes many hours so I'm breaking it up into sections. Wanted to start with that water run, did the whole quarter panel while I was at it. Still have the rest of the car to go but i'll get there eventually haha.

The point of this car was to be imperfect so I'm not going crazy, just trying to remove some of the more obvious flaws...

Man does that paint ever look sick! I want a FD VR color code painted FB eventually and this one is very similar. Beautiful car man, hope it keeps going in this direction!

Thanks! Yeah VR is a great looking color too, a bit "redder" than sunrise red, which has a touch of orange in there.

Anyway, not a ton new with this car mechanically, but I did get "new" door panels. Steven (username and real name lol) on here restored a set for me. He replaces the cardboard backing piece as well as the vinyl on top, but reuses the cloth, handle and pocket etc. They came out gorgeous, his craftsmanship is excellent. The lighting in the pic makes the cloth section look weird, but it's very clean.

Also took a few shots on a random dirt road by the house.

Nothing much new to update on here. Rolled over the 3000 mile mark on this build and all is well mechanically. I got my N370 ecu modded with an Rtek 2.0 which just came back to me in the mail last night. Hoping to install that tonight so I can start doing some tuning on this. Otherwise not much else new and nothing really planned in the forseeable future.

Took an early morning drive up to some nice mountain roads near the NY and PA boarders on Sunday. I think this shot came out nice...

Look, we almost match! Except mine's a GS with an auto. But I have big plans...
