the missing link
 

so i just found the oil metering pump rod shaking around the engine bay and want to know what and where is this supposed to be attached. i have read the carb or manifold.
this is a 85 12a engine. the rod is attached to the pump but loose from wherever it goes from there.

thanks for any help i wasn't able to get the info from the fsm

if u stand that rod straight up vertical towards the carb, u should see where it attaches to the primary throttle.
