i know there are quite a few T2-enhanced Gen I cars out there, but your plans still intrigue me. every so often someone throws a fresh idea into this tried and trued combination. i await your take on it. good luck with it.

i'm quite interested in seeing how you accomplish this. out of sheer curiosity, is there a reason that you're not going with a surge tank system?

AXA 12-11-12 11:49 AM

Updates:
Intercooler and Microtech EMS LT10c on their way to Miami.... :)

Only thing left to order is the 2000cc injectors........

Also like to thanks Eric from Rotary Werks to taking up this challenge with me..

Don't have much experience with surge tank, coming from a Supra world I always like the inntank fuel pump better than innlines for the street.. This new walboro L416 pump rocks for E85...

Little up date:

Got a use UIM, LIM and TB for a FD in a great price from aicrotary2 today .. Great person to deal with....

Hate the looks of the Turbo II UIM.....

AXA 04-25-13 08:42 PM

Sorry it took me so long to get this project going but I had some stuff to take care before I started anything....

The car is all ready with Erick at Rotery Werks for the swap... We had some bad luck with the compression in the rear rotor of the TII engine :(..... New plans we decided to built the engine with some after market apex seals and some port magic by Erick and put a big single in the mix.

I pick up today a new Borg Warner S366 with .91 back housing for a killer price to pair up with the built engine.... When I got home today the ACT clutch that I order from RX7store was waiting for me at my door :)...

Hopephelly the engine parts arrive tomorrow to start putting the engine back together.

I will post some pic tomorrow, for real this time...

More updates to come...

Engine bay will be clean and strip of all things not used...

Brain storming last night on the intercooler setup and leaving the air conditioning on the car..

The gas tank is out and will do a similar inn tank pump setup like they do in the Miatas with a specially made pump hanger.. One L485 pump for now but leaving room for 2 just incase I need more pump.. According to my calculations. I should be good with this pump for 550WHP on E85 with 4 2000 cc in jectors... I hope I am not wrong.. I preferred to have one pump setup if possible.

I was very surprise about the quality of the Ebay exhaust manifold.. For $118 it looks and feel great..
They even clean it up in the inside and the WG tube is big and well place..

Here are more pics:

Thank you Sir...

I feel bad I can't do a proper write up of this project but I don't have the time with work...
Eric from Rotary werk has done a great Job and has put his heart on this car also to make sure everything is to par..

It feel's great and it is a great turbo for the street...

I have the .91 back housing I am thinking to change to the 1.10 before tuning....
The turbo lag is not that bad in my opinion.....

Awesome!

Thanks for the info on the S366.

Some videos would be cool to see. :D

Enjoy the car.

AXA 09-02-13 09:00 AM

Update:
Erick decided to change the thermostat on the stock radiator and the temp when down from 88c in heavy traffic with AC on, to 82C flat all day long... :)

For me was very important to have A/C in the car here in Miami Florida, and able to drive the car in heavy traffic without hiccups...

We have manage to solve the temp issue and keep a steady Amp ( volts) supply after the E-fan install by upgrading some parts..
Soon I will have her home...

estevan62274 videos are coming soon...

AXA 09-13-13 12:26 PM

Good new after 5 month..... SHE HOME.....

I got the FB yesterday afternoon from Erick at Rotary Werks.. Car feel's great and drive good... Need little tweaking on the tune for street driving but nothing major..

Still breaking in the clutch, no boost only a few psi :)..

The response on the BW S366 turbo is great in 4 gear a see positive boost on the street at 2200 rpm I can even hear the tial blow off valve discharging...

More to come... :)

AXA 09-13-13 02:36 PM

Love the smell of E85 with Benoil mix ....

The Microtech dash look good and you have all the info you need...

Need to fix a few things and change the transmission shiftier bushing..

I need read the instructions of the Eboost II boost controller.. have no idea how to adjust the settings..

Yes I am going to the Churrasco meet if God permits... It sounds like a good time...

Hopefully I get to meet some RX7club members in the event in November...

Directfreak 10-11-13 11:37 PM

I'am pretty sure I was right behind you for a few blocks this week. Near Tamiami airport? Stock wheels? It sounded like the your idle was high? Looked good. I'am sure it scoots well though!

If you are planning on running more than 26 psi I would suggest you to run a 1.00 or 1.10 back housing ,

Thanks for the compliment...

Yes stock wheels... Sleeper look for now :)....

Eric shop is around Tamiami airport I am usually around there on Wendsday on my day off ... My idle is high (1600 RPM) when my air is on... The car has a idle control valve install wire to the Microtech that we need to adjust and play with it...

Thank you Sir for the reply...

I will get one 1.10 from Mike Turbo before going to the dyno for big boost..... I will also be installing two more 1000cc injectors as my primaries injectors and having 4 2000cc in the secondary rails.

What will be the lag diference between the .91 and the 1.10?

Will you think it will be that notable....

I try searching but no back to back dynos from a .91 to 1.10 in the same car..

When I dyno my car with the .91 the turbo wouldn't make no more power after 28 psi, and on the street after 120 mph car wouldn't keep pulling due to much back pressure and I was running the .91 with 3.5 exhaust.

I think with the 1.10 it should start to spool 400-500 rpm later than with the .91.

This is no good...

I also have the 3.5 exhaust... Were your EGT high do to the high back pressure..

AXA 10-16-13 10:32 PM

Day off today.. I got some little things done..

Exhaust housing 1.10 order today..
The 1000cc injectors are inn..

Short shifter install also... I love the short shifter...

We change the BOW spring today and program the Turbo smart E-boost on low boost ( 12.0 psi) and the car feel and drive much better and the turbo is much quicker to spool up ...

jccNV 10-17-13 10:25 PM

What brand is the exhaust manifold?

Ebay special for Turbo II... The divided one...

The manifold ports were clean and the WG position on the manifold look good..
So far so good .. 12 PSI of boost at the moment..

Almost forgot Erick ( Rotary Werks) welded some support to help with the heavy BW turbo..
