Exhaust wrap... Do I use the high temperature silicone spray?

Hi folks,

I just got done wrapping my racing beat headers. Lava rock from Amazon. I soaked them, then did a couple wraps. Hopefully it's tight enough. But if not, has anyone used the high temperature silicone spray on their headers? Does it improve the insulation coefficient? Help with the wrap adhering to itself?
Just curious and would like some feedback on others experience with that setup.

Thanks.

I think the main, if not only, benefit is to seal the wrap to help keep water out so the wrap doesn't hold the water right against the exhaust and make it rust faster.

I've never used it or thought about using it and my wraps have never unraveled or loosened. Just pull it tight and you'll be fine. I've even redone it a few times for a refresh and the piping underneath was just fine. I would imagine if you ever wanted to take it off and redo it, the spray may be a burden for removing the wrap.

Headers and Midsection completed...

Got carried away and did the midsection, sprayed with high temp silicone spray too. So Racing Beat Headers wrapped and siliconized, Racing Beat pre-silencer, mid-section wrapped and siliconized and this muffler, X-Force SV11-300 , guess I'll find out if it works.
