really nice looking. altho i really hate seeing those that have had the roof cut out for an afterthought sunroof.

This appears to be Australia. Factory sunroofs were a North America only thing I believe back then. Is that a later rear hatch glass? Don't believe any 79's had the wipers.

Blackduck30 05-04-22 09:01 PM

Yes, I think here in Australia from what I have found out the dealers offered a sunroof. It was not a factory option but they were happy to have someone chop a hole in your roof for you and make a profit.
Yes Banzai, It does indeed have a later rear glass. Ay some point will probably find a early one or delete it.

Very cool project! It looks pretty clean and straight. Are you planning on restoring the car to its original condition? Do you know any of the car's history?

Blackduck30 05-05-22 07:21 AM

Thanks,

Yeah I was pretty surprised once I got it home.
The plan has been to restore it how I would have liked Mazda to release it so nothing over the top.
To look at it you go ohhh stock RX7 with wheels. Then you look further and go ohhhhhhh
