You should switch out the MB with the 20B car and leave the 20B car up here so you can fly in and do High Octane stuff with us on a Random weekends. Or pick up a driver for up here or sumthin.
It's too hot down there for car stuff in the summer.

Not a lot to report. The car is waiting patiently to get on a lift so I can do the Axle shafts, hubs, wheel bearings, rear brakes etc.
I had my FPR mounted with a zip tie. It's mounted with the bracket now but it's not exactly fancy.
I took the intake off and sanded the Emblem. Tightened the alternator belt. Tried to lower the rear end but seems I have hit bottom for the adjustments. I still have the water meth kit to install and get to tuning. It seems the last few projects are taking forever. I adjusted my static fuel pressure to 43psi. Need to roll the front fenders. Corner balance and align the car.
I've been looking for the next project.
I was thinking maybe a 240Z with an RB26DETT. The 4 rotor project seems like there are too many unknowns and It's an expensive learning curve. Not one I want to throw money at right now.
My friends and I are also considering buying some commercial property so who knows.

Prepping before axle change. New OEM rear hubs with ARP extended studs pressed in. My office has a mechanic shop that takes care of our vehicles and equipment. I know the chief mechanic pretty good so he did these during the late shift for me last night.
Forum member Moehler has a fender roller and invited me over to do some fender rolling tomorrow. He just picked up a 95 CW so I get torture myself looking at his Unicorn. Maybe I will bring my camera along.

Well I purchased the OS Giken 1.5way Differential from SakeBomb Garage but it ships from Japan and takes 3-4 weeks. So I have been playing the waiting game. I was going to post when it arrived because everyone likes photos.
I've been waiting to install the rear SakeBomb brake kit, DSS Axles, new rear hubs, wheel bearings, super pro diff bushings and new Greddy Diff cover all in one job. Because of my work space I am taking the car to JPR. It's a local rotary shop. This job is best done on a lift.
Oh did I mention the OS Giken Diff fluid is as expensive as a bottle of Dom Perignon?

Yep at 2 or 3 you're just getting started but don't worry about it the FD addiction keeps you young. I've been wrapping myself around 4 or more for 20 years and never felt better

Ok some updates. I've been working on a few things. I ended up buying 2 1994 CW's. One PEP with 29k miles and one Base with 22k miles. I ended up selling the 94 PEP and kept the base.
my Garage is small and it was made smaller because I had the laundry in the back of the garage on a poured slab the previous owner of my town home installed.
Ended up moving the laundry up to the second floor and made a laundry room.
Then the concrete pad got Demo'd.
m
Then painted the garage

Ok so no idea why it's posting the pictures twice lol.
so I also raised the rails on the garage door and installed a jack shaft garage door opener
installed some LED lights in the garage in place of the one bald light bulb. Installed a receptacle for the opener as well.

Took a trip down to Greg Smith Equipment in Delaware and picked up a 4 post lift. Got the sliding jack and some other accessories to get the most out of it. FourtyOunce, 1CleanCym and a couple other friends Mike and Rob helped trailer it back and assemble it. All I cost me was some pizza and future photoshoots
Was able to get both my FD's under one roof now.

JPR Imports did some work for me while I was working on my Garage Project.
New DSS Axles, Os Giken Diff with new bearings and seals, Greddy Diff cover, new OEM fuel filter, Super Pro diff bushings, installed the Sakebomb rear brake kit and shaved the Calipers to fit, still had to install 5mm spacers.
99 rear brake backing plates, urethane motor mounts and AEM Water Meth injection installed. New hubs, Koyo rear bearings and ARP extended studs.
I also cleaned up the diff and painted it with some Eastwood Rust encapsulator and Chassis black extreme.

If you look closely you can see the bolts on the inside of the Work 3 piece wheels rubbing the caliper. Ended up replacing them and grinding down the new ones to fit and then refinished. No pic of the refinished product but will get to that soon
I bought an adapter kit to refill the A/C. I also picked up a case of R12 from a friend.
I need to have a couple lines made for the A/C. That's coming soon.
I may not have been posting but the project has continued to move forward.

The short answer is my Garage ceiling is 9ft 2".
I
The stock Rx7 height is 48inches.
The deck of the lift is 4.5 inches.
Which add up to 8 feet 4.5 inches. That leaves me almost a foot of room to use between the ceiling and deck. I knew that would give me what I required no matter the spacing of the locks as long as the locks were 6" apart. In my case I ended up with about 2" of space above the CYM to the Deck once it's dropped down on the locks and about 8+ inches above the CW. I didn't want to push my luck going up to the next locking point although we think we can. It's just not needed and not worth it.
So what do you need to know besides that?
Each lift is different but my lift has 6 inches between locking points. You need to be able to go up above the locking points so you can disengage the locks and lower the car down.
That means you should consider at least a few inches of clearance above the locking point as you don't want to actually touch the Ceiling with the cars roof. You also don't want the deck of the lift touching the roof of the car below it so factor in 3 or so inches above the roof of the bottom car.
My CYM is lower than stock but I used stock heights for my math so there was a slight buffer.
