So, a little progress on a couple fronts, boost control is now a non-issue after going back to the Turbosmart boost tee/MBC that Bryan/Rotorsports installed. I unplugged the EFR solenoid from precontrol, plumbed this to the wastegate canister, and bam, rock solid 15psi. Took the car out for a test drive, was boosting ok but my a/fr's went wonky again. Water/meth controller issues AGAIN. Thought the new snow controller had failed like the AEM controllers, but it turned out my inline check valve was stuck shut and was not spraying any water meth, what gives? In another turn of events, when I installed the MBC, I used a piece of rubber vacuum line (I ran out of silicone hose) lying around to temporarily plumb the boost tee to the wastegate actuator. It split during the test drive letting the boost go way too high and I hit fuel cut immediately. So several lessons learned over the preceeding months 1) Addicted (Zach) was FOS telling me my car was too restrictive to make over 13psi (I watched my boost gauge hit 20psi and fuel cut in the blink of an eye with a split and disconnected actuator line to the BW medium canister, with it 85f outside). A shame he didn't want to take the time to dig into boost control on my car. 2) Fuel cut with the powerFC works, and works very quickly. 3) powerFC boost control is not worth the effort, i.e. could not get it to work properly 4) The medium BW canister seems to work very well if you want a low to moderate boost setting for an EFR turbo.

You got a part # for the KN filter you had on?

Sorry I don't. Elliot/ Turblown should have it. It's the filter he supplies with his BW EFR kits

Looks healthy for the setup! I bet that's a lot of fun.

I'm happy with the outcome. Best run was 421/383. Turning on water meth with that tune put me at about 380hp. I'll probably run it there for the summer. Got a drive in the mountains planned Sunday, can't wait.

Nice results! What do you mean turning on the water meth brought you down? Are you not tuned for it and just using it for cooling? What boost are these numbers at?

Glad you finally got it sorted!!

Matt

Spot on results for that type of dyno and stock port engine.

Adding water injection almost always costs power on they dyno as you are displacing oxygen with water.
