You can still order the textured console panel? Neat. I like the efini steering wheel. Lots of nice parts. How is the twin power mounted?

Yep.

It's ziptied at the top and I used some adhesive clips on the bottom to attach to the brake lines.

One of the guys here got those aluminum door pull cups, they were ROCK SOLID, like amazing difference. I really need to get some for my car!

I'm not sure how easy they install/uninstall, but the way it made his door feel was incredible.

That solid door feeling is exactly what I'm after... I just ordered a set today to try out for myself.

Wow! All these delicious parts!
What an amazing collection of high quality parts.
And a clean, low mileage example of the beautiful FD RX-7!
The wheels are just flat out dope!
I dig your style.
This looks like Christmas morning, as a kid, but times 1000!
I really enjoyed reading through this thread.
It's very exciting to see it all come together with quality EVERYTHING!
Very very cool!

I have the doors apart for the stereo install right now so the new aluminum ones haven't gone back in yet.

They're identical to the stock pieces just in aluminum form so no difference in installation.

I'm glad I read this before installing today.

Install is super easy. Drop in and it snappes in place with out fuss

However when I was taking out the oem one I was very careful and gentle to not break it . The oem one can be squeezed/flexed just enough to pull out,
( thats the good part).
The aluminum one is so solid it haves no flex . I fear once I drop it in it'll be a nightmare to remove without breaking the door panel it self.

I'll be installing it in the future after my speaker upgrades and new door cable / handle swap and every other possible maintenance before installing the aluminium door cups

Yeah I've considered that as well.

Honestly, I did want the silver only ones at first but it was much harder to find a front and rear one. I also have a totally different set of emblems that I am also considering using that I haven't posted yet. Wanted to have several options. I definitely hate the oem Mazda ones.

Beautiful car and excellent choice on the parts that you r using. The only two things that I am not too crazy about it are the ECU and the wheels. Nothing wrong with it, but with your budget I would it go in a different direction. Not that I know your budget but it looks like a healthy one. Lol. Good luck on the build! I can't wait to see it done.

Thanks. I know the Adaptronic is the hot ticket right now and I'll see what the future holds.

What wheels would you suggest, just curious?

I second this. However, rims are very subjective. Personally I'm a fan of Volk or Advan. But it's your car.

Cool

Please let me know what that weighs when you have chance

The chassis stiffness on the FD is definitely a weak link
