The hard lines look really nice...where did you source the AN fittings for the hard lines?

Build looks great!

Thanks

Yea, I can do that with the Haltech as well, even the PFC can do it. I just choose to keep it. IMO, It is better to have.

P.S. just saw a video on youtube... looks so easy that a caveman can do it...........!
Fixed some of your grammer

It is worth it when you need it. Problem is, how often do you need it?

I got the fitting from here http://www.anplumbing.com/Adapters/Aluminum-14.html

They are called "tube nut" and "tube sleeve"

I had this arrive in the mail today all the way from Australia. It is a Hypertune 77mm throttle body. It works with the stock FD TPS. Plus one of my 3" wiggins clamps.

Nice. You going to get a new throttle cable? If so I just installed a Lokar midnight series (all black). turned out awesome but needed a little modification to work.

And now that I think about it, what does this mean for your UIM? Custom?

I would like to get a new throttle cable. I'll check your thread. How was the install on the throttle pedal side?

Yes, Custom UIM. I don't know when I will finish it because I need to get the car running and tuned before deals gap. That may be on the back burner till I come back.

John, those hardlines looks so good! I will be doing the same for my FD.

I know many have said this, but I love how you pay such close attention to details. I've been wanting a better throttle body, and you just somehow came up with something I have exactly in mind but I just dont know where to find it. Will you mind pointing me in the right direction? I would love to get the same set up you have + the throttle cable.

Thanks much and keep up the awesome work!

P.S. BTW, where did you get those fittings to make the hardlines? I have the "blue theme" under the hood and that's what I would love to do.

I got the throttle body from twins turbo in CA http://twinsturbo.com/ He is an authorized hypertune dealer. It is the 77mm version for 3" piping. Talk to Eric, tell him John from long island told you to call him. He is a very cool guy and will return your emails and phone calls. He also gave me a great price on the throttle body. Plus while you are ordering parts from him, get the inconel turbo gasket as well.

I got the fittings from anplumbing.com they are called "tube nut" and "tube sleeve"

Thumbs up Updates

Well, I figured it is about time to update this thread

Because I am going to be running e85 I decided to get stainless fuel socks from fuelab. These are a very nice quality product, only problem is, you need to make them work with the 044 fuel setup. You can see the used sock ofter being submersed in e85. looks horrible, that helped my decision.

First thing I need to do was get fittings that thred into the 044 inlet

Then cut the fitting and weld the fitting that comes with the fuel socks in order to keep the overall length the same.

Finished....

I also installed the setup

And did a fuel pump rewire. You will notice there is only one pump hooked up, that is because for deals gap I will be running 93 octane and don't need 2 pumps running. Too much heat.

I also finished the turbo and wastegate coolant line routing, you can also see in the pic my oil turbo feed line.

I also had Matt weld up the TB coolant feed line on the rear iron.

I also installed my single turbo converted wire harness with the additional wires for the trigger wheel and for the coil trigger wires.

This is the shielded wire I used for the trigger wires.

I bought all of the supplies I needed to make the spark plug wires.

The boots are clocked in the position that they are inorder to make installation easier so the wire does not twist.

This is my endtank for the intercooler

Here is the core I will be using. It is a Bell core 14x11.8x4.5. It is bar and plate construction.

I installed my exhaust. The cat back is a Ganador titanium weighs about 9.5 lbs. and the midpipe is an R-magic weighs about 2lbs.

Fused welds on the catback

Tacking the flange on the DP to mate with the MP. Note how Matt is using his sexy thigh to work the pedal.

Thats about it for now. Hope to get much done this weekend and be able to start the car.

Awesome progress.

You should have let me know you were doing wiring, I've got some raychem.

Where are you getting your tubing and fittings? I need to do my brake lines and a few other things.

Thanks for the offer on the raychem, I will most likely be redoing the wiring harness next winter so I will then use the good stuff.

I am getting my tubing from amazon and the fittings from anplumbing.com I don't think they have double flare fittings though.

Talking Got another update.

^ Thanks

I installed the:

1. UIM
2. FPR
3. Alternator
4. Mikuni (S8) OMP this was done for clearance for my turbo drain.
5. Revolution AST, I am unsure if I will be using it as I think I will need the room for the intercooler piping. We will see.

I also wrapped my downpipe.

Here is a pic that I think is cool.....

Hopefully there will be more progress tomorrow

John
