in that pic the back of the back seats was taken off, I put it back on and the the trunk cover also covers the top of the battery

You dont need a cover, you need a sealed battery it is a type of battery.

The odyssey is a good battery, had that same battery on my Mustang race car and it cranked the V8 no problem. This is a dry cell battery and is okay for inside the car, also being dry means you can lay it on it's side if it fits better.

you definitely need a sealed battery
that little one is fine, most people use it to track their cars but if you plan to get a mad stereo system you want a big battery like an optima you can get them at your local autozone probably |
I use an optima battery, group 51 size, its still under the hood until I go v-mount. I was concerned about the tiny odyssey battery because some have said if you don't drive the car once a week you will need a trickle charger to keep the battery charged.
Oh if you do buy an optima battery, do yourself a favor and buy it from an AUTHORIZED optima dealer (i paid 180 for mine shipped directly from optima's website). Why? optima won't honor their warranties on the batteries unless you buy it from an authorized dealer, ie amazon.com is not an authorized dealer. |
I just want to add to what phrost said, one other reason to buy direct is that you get the newest battery and not one that has been sitting on a shelf for a few years.
OP, If you have room get a larger battery like a pc925 or look at braille batteries. IMO they are better than the oddysey due to their higher Pulse cranking amps. John |
Well lol I already bought the battery when I bought the relocation kit.. but the kit was for a big battery so I used it, When I get time ill swap out the big one for the little one. Thanks for the advise everyone!!

Simplified Seq :) got all the block off plates installed! Still removing the extra solenoids, I also need to take the EGR off which looks 2 be a big job!

For the cost involved you may just want to get a sealed battery. My first turbo car was an FD. There were times when I wish I had a TII or even a dsm to learn on. If you go slow with the mods and read a lot you will be fine. |

I have a Sealed battery that I already bought right when I bought the kit, but not knowing I just decied to use the non sealed battery... I havent gotten 2 it yet but I am going to install the sealed battery I think I am going to try and fit it in the Spair wheel well layed down because it is a Sealed battery and then I will be able to put my trunk carpet back in. Yes I read Alot thats and I am not afraid to ask dumb questions lol From what I have been told by the local rotory heads around my area that I am going the right route and doing what most novices wouldnt so I feel pretty confident. The big step is when I rebuild it the following winter that should be fun project.... |

Nice! I like the wrench they give you with the mocal kit, it's got weight reduction hehe.
This might sound stupid but I've never seen that bose acoustic wave thing before. I stared at that picture for a good minute trying to figure out what it was. I know you're tired of hearing it, but I'll vouch for the battery thing. I rolled a Golf with the trunk battery thing and boy was I glad I did the conversion right. It stayed in place and no acid sprayed on my face. |

Thank goodness, just in time for the Minnesota winter! haha. I'm assuming those are actually for BIR? They certainly are big enough.
