MazdaSpeedDan 01-08-12 12:22 PM

Link works now!

MoePwr 01-08-12 12:23 PM

Now what do you think? (waits to hear the worst)

MazdaSpeedDan 01-08-12 12:26 PM

Not as bad as I thought, although that quarter panel is going to be a pain in the dick. Looks like they didnt know how to pull a dent. I look forward to helping you with this project!

Also whats up with the welds on the rear left upper quarter panel? I seen em in the other pics, was it a diff rear qp?

MoePwr 01-08-12 12:29 PM

Thats what im thinking... Im not positive though. Those welds will be an easy fix but the quarter and bumper is goin to be a pita

MazdaSpeedDan 01-08-12 12:30 PM

Yeah, well once you start getting pieces it will start looking more like a 7 and you can see if/where its warped to bad and fix it if need be. do you have a garage to keep it in?

MoePwr 01-08-12 12:36 PM

Lol..... Nah man im in apartments... Its "parked" in front. Itll be garaged when im deployed though.

MoePwr 01-10-12 10:33 AM

crap..... i just really looked at the quarter panel and bumper damage and compared it to the passenger side and im going to have to replace both.... at least half of the bumper area....any help is greatly needed and wanted. thank you

melvinFC10 01-10-12 07:40 PM

Does need some work it looks like. Good luck! Keep us updated.

MoePwr 01-11-12 05:44 PM

haha ^ thats an understatement... ive been looking into this more and more and more. i think the best option according to the condition that my fd is in at this moment would to just purchase a front clip and transfer everything over. i even found a rhd one that i could purchase next month and start converting it over within a short period of time.... thoughts???

MoePwr 01-13-12 06:18 PM

Sanded down the engine bay by hand with 100 grit sandpaper. Too cold out side to primer today... Hopefully tomorrow will be warmer

MazdaSpeedDan 01-14-12 06:15 PM
