For front brakes, is there a difference between right and left? and do I need other front brake parts?
Caliper F1Z6-33-98Z
Rotor F176-33-25XA
For the rear Caliper/Rotors I can't seem to find part numbers yet. RHD Japan lists this part (F175-26-281A) but I wasn't sure what was needed to do the Spirit R setup.
I have not yet been able to find rear calipers/rotors and don't know the part numbers for either. This isn't a function of not using the search function as I have been trying to find out this information, but if anyone could provide guidance, would appreciate it. Still trying to read as much as I can when I have time.
I've been feeling more and more like the direction this is going is mostly just Spirit R type parts when I can find them. Shift boot/e-brake/plastic console will probably happen in the somewhat close future as well. After brakes/Spirit R seats/Spirit R other interior parts I'm not sure what else I would want to do at this point. I'm pretty happy where things are now.
Here's a pic of my 1990 FC vert that I had for a long time.

I actually have the whole "spirit r" brake set up. I am pretty happy with the set up as my goal was to keep my car as OEM as possible.
The front calipers are same as the 99 spec RZ brakes except painted red. rotors and pads I sourced through RHDjapan. You will also need longer pad pins.
Rear caliper is same on all FD RX7. The bracket for rear caliper is different for the spirit r and rz brakes to accommodate larger roters.
You will need new hard brake lines for front and rear if I remember correctly. If you want to be thorough you will also need the dust shields from the RZ model.
I can give you a list of the parts to make it work on your car. Might take some time as I have to look through my computer for the part numbers and what not.

Did some digging in my computer. Here is the list of the parts needed for Spirit R/RZ brake conversion. You can use your stock rear caliper and pads since they are the same. I believe the USDM front brake pads fit the Spirit R/RZ front brake calipers as well. The part numbers below include calipers for spirit R which are pretty damn expensive. Another option is to source a set of used RZ front brake calipers and just have them painted to match the Spirit R look for a much cheaper cost. For rotors I ordered aftermarket ones from RHDjapan.
1 F1Z4-33-23Z Kit, Brake Pads Front 99
4 F124-33-696 Pin, Pad Retainer 99
1 F1Z6-33-98Z Kit, Caliper Front Right Diff Bore 33.9mm/38.1mm spirit R
1 F1Z6-33-99Z Kit, Caliper Front Left Diff Bore 33.9mm/38.1mm spirit R
1 F124-43-710 Line, Brake Caliper Front Right 99
1 F124-43-720 Line, Brake Caliper Front Left 99
1 F138-33-261A Plate, Rotor Backing Front Right 99
1 F138-33-271A Plate, Rotor Backing Front Left 99
2 F124-26-281 Rear Brake Support Mounting
2 F124-26-261 Plate, Rotor Backing Rear
I am also in the process of installing a late model 99 spec JDM brake booster to my car to increase the brake pedal effort for improved braking feel. Hopefully I can get the RHD brake booster to fit my LHD FD.

Trying to just stay with original Mazda parts as much as possible, part of my build theme
Thank you for taking the time to share.

Thanks, I'm having fun with it.
Hope to see other FDs out on the road as well!
Still waiting on Sake Bomb HID kit ordered at the beginning of May, have been told that it should be coming soon, will install that whenever that happens. May have something else in the works as well, not finalized yet... this is a teaser.

I think the FD is beautiful as well, love the lines, especially on the 99 spec body style

Yeah, I need to, feels out of place with the seats and shift ****, just a matter of time. An updated Mazda logo with red stitching would be nice. I've been spending way too much on the car this year haha, I probably should just stay off the classifieds.
I did take advantage of some Cyber Monday deals and picked up a pressure washer/foam cannon and leaf blower. Tested it out today, was pretty cool.

I have injector envy!
Your car is absolutely clean and beautiful.
I love the OEM + route you are going.
I do feel it NEEDS the spacers, the look is too far off on the offset and it really detracts from the look. Hence the OEM "PLUS"
A little lower, a little wider, a little faster.
I say a 10mm up front and a 20mm in the rear and 1/4"lower and you are in dream territory.
