So is it internally partitioned? Seriously, look at any other dual pass radiator, there's a weld bead running down the middle. Even if you had a plate on the inside, you'd need to actually seal it all the way around which is why the beads are always there.
well I've been working non-stop but finally got some time to knock a couple small thigns out on the car.
The power steering bracket was flexing in when went to tighten the tension on it with event he slightest bit of load. So I cut out one more parallel support and bj welded her on.
The bracket doesn't flex anymore =-)

Also decided that my coolant filler neck was just too damn ugly. So we decided to make another one.
Traced the butt plate onto some scrap alum:
cut that biyatch out and bored a hole out in the dead center. Then we used some pipe for irrigation. Cut off my old cap from the ast-less old coolant fill neck and bj welded it all up. Came out pretty good. The belt sander was acting funny so I left the edges pretty rough. I'll clean them up when it's fixed =-)

done deal

Also welded on my -16 AN fittings onto my coolant in and out so we can run some nice steel hose to the radiator

^yea it came out pretty good. Bj said the alum cap we used to weld onto our new filler neck off the old filler neck was really contaminated. It had been sand blasted but he said it doesn't matter how much blasting or cleaning you do,...aluminum is like a sponge and it just sucks up dirt. He went over the cap weld a few times trying to clean it up but he said thats about as good as we could get it without making a custom cap attachment. I'm happy with it though. =-)
Is there a special name for the -an fittings that go on the flared tubing for your fuel lines?
I'm thinking of doing all hard lines for mine, not sure if it would be ideal or not though...

little update:
Got the radiator mounts set on the radiator

Mock up of position

We placed the radiator so that it sat an inch higher than the sway bar. Gonna need clearance...but as the car sits currently... the sway bar is 3.5 inches off the ground and the radiator is 4.5.

But it will not be ok once you install aftermarket anti-sway bar mounts; the radiator will then be the lowest point. From the pics it appears like the radiator is below the sub-frame, is that true?
No it'll be ok... Were making a cradle for the radiator as well so that it'll be protected. 3 inches doesnt sound like a lot.....but at my ride height....it really is. Yes the radiator is below the sub frame but it's also hasn't been raised by the rubber mounts yet. We were already thinking of raising it a tad just for ease of pipe routing etc anyhow.
^ Thanks Ryan!
