Had to rush to Turbosmart to Pick up Extra Back up Springs Just in case I needed to Trouble shoot. It's never good to assume that everything will be working correctly...and now that the car is a bit more wild. it's not necessarily Driveable ANYWHERE other than the track. It's now Non-Operational and No longer Streetable. So Dyno and Track are the only places I'll be able to test for here on out. Good thing is Alex Rodriguez Motorsports is Sponsoring us Dyno Time for the Season!! So we'll be using his Facility as much as possible to fine tune this Power band!!

Update Continued: "Waite There's more?"

This Ad was put out by Borg Warner and I'm so excited to even see it that I don't necessarily know how to react..But I wanted to share it with you guys! Does not seem real by any means.
But I will say that the Team over at Borg Warner are some of the best people to work with that I've ever met!

Sorry If I already posted this... things tends to blurrr together these days...

Turbosmart Gate Springs!

Headed to the Dyno and Proud to be able to use a BRAND NEW DYNO at Alex rodriguez Motorsports in Corona. His shop is Spic and Span and I'm Lucky to be able to use such a nice Facility for all my dyno needs this Season! Hit him up for Un-beatable Rates and Professional Treatment!

Attachment 611898

Decided to Use Manual Pressure for the time being as we didnt want to trouble shoot on the dyno. Alex was down...but we figure'd we'll go with a higher spring and then see if we can replicate the plot on the EBC when we've got it working. hanging to 20psi worth of Turbosmart Comp gate Springs!
With the gates on top.....it's a Cinch!!! So much easier than getting under the car!

Attachment 611900

Alex .....the car is sooo loud guys!
Attachment 611901

Ayyyyyyyyyy.......
Attachment 611902

The Dyno went Excellent!!! Had one small AN fuel leak. Just needed a slight Tightening and it was good to go. I'm proud that The diligence and methodology paid off!!

HERE WE GO DYNO VIDEO!!

So Things to Note. We Ran 20Lb Springs on the dyno. The Gates Held PERFECT Boost control All the way to 8 Grand. We Ran out of Injector and Pump using (6) ID 1300's and Dual (2) Bosch 044's at 45PSI Base Fuel Pressure. We wanted to spin the engine to 9500 But Until we get more Fuel... That won't be happening. The engine sounds Beautiful...and the car Makes Roughly 400WHP and 400FtLbs at 4K RPM!! I'm more than Happy.... Look at this Power Band!!!! V8 Killer!!

Final Numbers

20.3 Lbs of Boost
512 WHP
421 Ftlbs of Tq

Graph (Do understand we don't Roll into 4rth Gear like most tuners,...because when do you actually roll into 4th from 2k RPM... We map the Sweep!! Because that's what matters on the track!

Why are you using 1300s? Why not all 2000cc injectors? Or at least 1300 primary and 2000 secondarys?

1300's are better suited for E85 than 2000's.

Aaron nice work, can't wait to see some video of it in action.

RuffRx7 05-23-16 07:28 AM

Dam now this is a proper update!!
Well done on this epic build and hoping for many happy track miles!!!
Amazing work as usual and super inspirational as always!!!

RENESISFD 05-23-16 10:20 AM

Awesome update man. You definitely did not run of of pump with dual 044 you just need more injector. Dual 044 can make over 800hp on e-85

Your windshield reminds me of this. haha

Could you explain why? I'm curious? I run 2000cc primary and secondary and am on e85? Is running 2000s bad?

silverTRD 05-23-16 07:51 PM

Running e85 on the 2000s can corrode the injectors if you allow it to sit too long, A month seems to be the time limit. It is a big deal because the injector can get stuck open or closed and cost you a motor. If you drive your car often its not supposed to be a problem.

RuffRx7 05-24-16 03:09 AM

Just a question, are you using a BOV on your setup?

silverTRD 05-24-16 09:02 AM

Its on the compressor cover of his efr

I wanted to make use of the smaller Spray Pattern of the 1300s:icon_tup: Currently the Injectors are not staged either. All (6) Fire at once. Ain't down with Injector Staging.

This sticker is dangerous and inconvenient, but I do love Fig Newtons. - YouTube

I don't know man.. I think people Might Under Estimate How much Fuel a Semi-P Turbo engine may need. I don't doubt we may be fine with the Dual 44's....and I'll be going with (6) 1700's ASAP but I was a bit taken back that we ran out of fuel. I'll keep you updated on it for sure:icon_tup: Thanks man!

No Blow Off Valve on the Wolf this time around. I just didn't like one more Vac Line I would need to keep an eye on... But I may try it if I can get around to it in between rounds.:):icon_tup::icon_tup:

More Updates soon!!!!

RCCAZ 1 05-24-16 01:36 PM

So, Aaron...... Formula Drift finals in Irwindale, 10/7. SS-19 is the Saturday before (10/1). Let's see if Mike can't make it to SS this year to warm up the track at Fontana :)

RENESISFD 05-25-16 10:20 AM

Did you try raising fuel pressure to see if you can get more out of the injectors? What base pressure are you running?

I doubt you are running out of pump just because of the porting. You can only flow so much air into the motor with your turbo and people have run much larger turbos with larger injectors with no problem on dual 044 pumps.

pumps aren't the prob and have great flow, to bad they are loud as shit or I'd go 044. l. He could raise the pressure but best thing to do would be to go a tad larger with the injectors to stay safe.

The car wants a lot more Fuel...... But I'm going to go with 1700's. We Haven't Bumped base fuel pressure up yet... I just lowered Boost to 16 Lbs for the time being. Took the car to the track yesterday morning and it was still Faster Than last year's set up......Everywhere in the Rev Range. Feels really good. I Do think it's just the Injectors....But we will find out once I swap em. Anyone want to buy some Fresh ID1300's?? Haha
