Nice pictures as always. I'd love to have a sheet metal duct like that for my M2 med IC - are guys who make those pretty easy to find?
Also, is the RESpeed filler neck readily available? |

haha thanks. Once I get it all back together and back on the road I want to drive up to your area in search of some fun roads. A buddy of mine told me there are some fun roads up near Reading... ill let you know when I go and we can meet up for some pics :icon_tup:
That sounds like a plan! There are some fun roads very close and 2 covered bridges that are 5-10miles from my house too. I'm always down for some nice pics too. I got some new wheels this winter and I'm dying for some new pics  |
Looking good John, can't wait to see ya on track with Scrub and I in 2011...... Let us know how you like the motor mounts too :)
|
Love what you are doing with the ducting! Looking forward to seeing the car in the flesh at Deals Gap - As always, your pictures are top notch!

Also, is the RESpeed filler neck readily available? I did the ducting myself, so I would not know where to go to have someone do it... however for an M2 medium your best bet would probably be a fiberglass duct as you need to make some tight angles and bends and working with fiberglass is easier IMO unless you have lots of metal fabrication tools and experience. As far as the RE-Speed filler neck im not really sure. I went to their website but could not seem to find it (although there were pictures). I got mine used from GoodfellaFD3S.

I really need to post up a build thread of my own:(. John I have had an ACT street/strip for a while now, but it is still basically new. It has maybe 5k miles on it tops. When I pulled it off the pressure plate still had the grooves from the manufacturing process, I was going to replace the clutch disk while it was out but the wear was very minimal.

Excellent Post John - those are some awesome track shots.
Curious though, how much horsepower are you pushing with your current setup? I'm looking have my car on the track this summer, but sticking with 300-325 HP since it's also my daily driver. |

Stock twins running 10 psi (creeps to 13 psi in 4th/5th) with a ported motor and all supporting bolt-ons. I have been quite happy with the power level for a while and Im not planning on any major power upgrades just yet.

JhnRx7... Your duct work is beautiful, John. The execution is better than many shops and the design work is as good as anything I've seen. I like how you have about a 3-4 inch lip before the coolers and IC. Very nice.

http://www.aircraftspruce.com/menus/me/aluminum.html I have made multiple orders through them during my build and their service has been great. Highly recommended. :)

Your ducting looks really good. I like how you left room around the front mount for air to pass straight to the radiator.

Hey John, which strength aluminum did you use for the ducting? I see there is T0, T4, and T6 on that website. This is my last question on ducting specs I swear haha.

W00t! My wheels have finally arrived! A good friend hooked me up with one of the first sets of Wedssports SA-60M in the US :egrin: They were only offered in two finished (both black) which I did not want for my car so they are going next week for powdercoating :icon_tup: 18x10 +36 F 18x10 +20 R http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5051/...486efc04_b.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5097/...751c55b2_b.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5019/...d296e0d4_b.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5258/...decc2c98_b.jpg |
Love the Weds! A shame your powder coating them I quite partial to the matte black :gwink: and I think they would look awesome with your paint color. What color are you going with?
