Build Spreadsheet Template
3 Attachment(s)
I have been keeping a spreadsheet of all my build costs and plans for a while now and figured I would post up a template/example of it for anyone else to use if they like. It has really helped me keep track of things over the years.
Also, any input on how to make it better/more useful is welcome as well. Here are a couple of screenshots showing what mine looks like. The actual spreadsheet is attached in a zipped folder. https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...1&d=1351012733 https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...1&d=1351012733 |

you can take it one step more and turn it into a Gantt chart (which I do).
That way you can focus on what you need to do first and work to your critical path. |

I also have one of these going...the damage isn't pretty.

I like the idea cus I love spreadsheets, but I have to agree it might make me cry in the long run!
|
My stomach started to hurt seeing this... I can't ever see how much money I spend on the RX... else I would cry like everyone else...
worse if the wife get's ahold of the spreadsheet... then my ass is grass... |
I don't know how I would even go back and begin to figure out how much money I've lost just buying things new and selling them at a loss (Still brand new) when times got tough. That would probably be my most expensive column. lol
But, I think I will attempt to replicate something like this by the end of my build. As I actually document everything I end up with in the vehicle. |
This is how I did mine as comments above. I use Gant charts for work and hat hitting stall points once I get the time to work on the car (so I plan and pre-purchase as much as I can)

i think my project would come to a hault if i did this.
