Bringing the FD to life

5 Attachment(s)
Hey I'm Mustafa, it's been a dream of mine to own this car, my friend had a project FD and I always kept asking him to sell it to me, recently I asked and he agreed and picked up where he left off
It's a 1993 FD and it's a project and with little knowledge I will make like to document this journey not for myself but for others who are interested as well and see me take on this build

Plan is to do a single turbo swap and just a fun and simple street car, not really worried on huge power just 350 hp is fine And has AC and PS

The day I got it

Attachment 623120

Trying to imagine it fully complete, But that's the car right there and it has primer and is sealed Ana pretty much needs to be wet sanded and then it's ready for paint, literally the body is so straight

Dad helping mock up the intercooler piping

Attachment 623122

Took off the UIM and trying to figure out what vacuum lines to delete and vacuum lines to keep
If anyone has a good diagram for this please send it my way, the ones I found were not that helpful and is not very clear on what to remove an block off

Reason for single turbo is that the stock twins are bad and prev owner bought parts for single turbo anyways,
So that's the plan, plus makes the car more reliable

Attachment 623123

So when I took off the stock twins, I noticed this port and assuming it's either an oil or coolant drain port I guess, do I block this off or use it for the single turbo set up

If anyone can help me out with a link or a list of things to buy or a parts list and and tutorial on how to do this I would really appreciate it

Other wise that's the car for now. The car has a fuel pump issue where it won't work but when I hot-wired the fuel pump, it worked fine so gotta figure that out too

Can't wait to make more progress, please send me all feed back and would like to see this to the end

Thanks,
Mustafa

Follow these diagram for vacuum hose job.

That port is for oil drain, there are 2 of them for the twins, you can get a block off plate kit from Banzai and it will come with one for the rear port.
