Thanks for the nice comments everyone

regarding the exhaust im going for the "get it out as quick as possible" method
i work for a stainless steel company so its made out of a 4x3" reducer and then 4" all the way back by the time its finished. its slightly heavier material but it should be fine as long as i brace it well enough.

there is no movement in the stainless engine mounts so i should be able to hard mount the lot. im sure i will face a few problems down the line but its all trial and error

Looks great! but that two tone body paint isnt my cup of tea :x. Never liked 2 tone on any cars.

Just dying to see what an A-spec front looks like in white, with headlights : )

(Or light covers ; )

thomas_mk6 Dec 15, 2011 11:04 AM

forgot to add this the other day. making good progress with the fuel system. Should hopefully have a complete engine bay within the next 2 moths

Which front bumper is that?

yyang Jan 11, 2012 09:50 AM

I could be wrong as I am fresh to RX7's, I believe it is a Mazdaspeed bumper. Just missing the fog lights.

yyang Jan 11, 2012 09:52 AM

And to the OP, this is truly an amazing build. Two thumbs up.

thomas_mk6 Jan 13, 2012 01:28 PM

^just out of curiosity... will you have ducting to the Radiator? Seems like if it went un-ducted...you may run into some pretty stern over-heating problems... just in my opinion. Hows your fuel set up?

onemeansaturn Jan 13, 2012 01:37 PM

Awesome to see you keep making progress! Please keep posting. It gives those of us with never ending projects hope.

yes Manny it will all be enclosed with the rad pulling air from the bumper and the intercooler from the vent in the bonnet, to be honest thats one of the last jobs to do because it wont be moving until june hopefully

Fuel setup is standard pump to the swirl pot, bosch o44 external, dm-motorsport secondary rail with two 1600's and 850's in the primary with an aeromotive fpr.

Bosch 044 for the win:nod:

Looks awesome! Do you have any specs on that giant single oil cooler you used? I am wanting to do something very similar to you with having a large single oil cooler and then running my turbo cold air intake to the other side (like you did).

Thanks!

muibubbles Jan 13, 2012 08:26 PM

just curious, why'd you mount your IC and RAD with such a huge gap between them? (or atleast it looks like that in the pictures)
