I find it funny that you try to run a business where the majority of your customers are 'kids' that are just trying to learn. I'm 18 and i wouldn't say i know everything about rotaries but i know my fair share and at least i'm honest and loyal to my customers.

had to torch the front bolt out of the e-shaft cause it was seized so badly i broke 2 1/2 in cheater bars and a 3/4 to 1/2 in reducer a 3/4 in impact wouldnt even budge it so i pulled out the breaker bar thats what broke the reducer... the rotor and housing are the rear rotor and housing tell me that isnt messed up/junk!!!! im not even mad this kids just got a smart mouth and thinks he knows everything...

the front rotors seal springs were stuck have more pics friday!
ohhh and its not hard to hit send and cancel on a text so it doesnt send i can do too but whats the point and when you called me i didnt raise my voice you got defensive and started threatening me so i hung up easy as that so post all the texts like all the threats you texted me

Dan, you also need to remember that he is 19 years old, and the number is a Las Vegas number but he lives on the east coast now too. The phone could be listed in someone else's name, like a parent.

In either case, there isnt much chance that those parts came out of a running motor that was just doing burnouts, etc etc. And I personally believe that just startn didnt need to be threatened to run his mouth--this is the second thread at the same time where buyers are talking about getting slammed even though they said they were polite.

I'd be interested in seeing what Russ has to say about this...those parts are scrap.....

Okay all, I just got off work and I am infact the experienced gentleman that "The exploited" brought the motor to, to check stability, since my brother and I seem to be the West Virginia unofficial rotary shop. This motor is in fact un rebuildable. I would recommend scrapping the short block and contacting Japan2LA about a legitimate jdm motor . As for a fair price, 300 bucks max. In my personal opinion, an experienced rotary guy should have had the sense to check compression numbers beforehand. It is fraudulent for sure. I personally turned it over by hand, one woosh. No bueno. I initially thought maybe the motor has sat for some time and seals may be seized. However, after disassembling the motor it was clear the apex seals were close to destroyed and scoring the housing. Sydney is 19 and just coming into the rotary game, less than mannerly to take advantage of him for 900 bucks. Greed is NOT a virtue. If you are in fact a rotary guy like you claim, shame on you for taking advantage. This is a club for members helping members, not a money scheme. I have just recently come in contact with Sidney, as he found myself and my brother locally through the club.

XLR8, Steelemotorsports, bob13bt and myself back up the west virginia rotary scene (although XLR8 is stationed in jersey at the moment...he is my brother from another mother). I say this to make it clear I know what I am looking at, and it is junk.

I feel a partial refund is fair. I say partial because the UIM, LIM, turbo, front cover, and water pump are salvageable with extensive cleaning.

I simpley called you ask what the issue was, you go off instantly saying all 6 apex seals are broke, the engine dont turn over then telling me i ripped you off and im a punk ass kid. Right there is were the situation turned ugly. Period. Instead of you saying " i beleive this engine may possibly be blown., im going to send you a video of it turning over and a pic". I never recieved anything like that what so ever. You say i flipped out after 5 second on the phone, well ya when you answer the phone like you did. What are you talking about im posting stuff you didnt say? Its coming from your telephone number? So now you want a refund? I felt like my life was in danger.

Refering to the engine:

WOW! that thing is destroyed. Im trying to figure out how that engine had good compression, drove around, boosted great, IDLED PERFECT, and showed ZERO loss of power:scratch:. Theres no way a engine that looks like that is even going to run and if it did, it wouldnt be for long and you would have to be on the inside of the car making it stay running.

its a tough sell on used engines that old. No way I would sell one today without the buyer witnessing first hand the compression test, both parties looking into the engine as best they can for its condition, after that what more can you really do?

i used to help a local place sell JDM engines, we would compression test each one and at first offered a start up and 30 day guarantee.

Later we changed it to a start up guarantee only because we would get people a year later saying they just installed the engine, then we would get people who would not keep them stock, it always boiled down to some people you never heard from and some people had a fishy story, sometimes we would make good even though things looked off, and sometimes outright refuse. I sold about 3 dozen motors then we decided it was just not worth it anymore for either of us. He is a local engine replacement center and still does great business and also gets containers of engines from Japan- just no more rotaries.

For starters, I do not take advantage of anyone, or try to take advantage of anyone. Never have never will. I do not sell stuff to make a living, i usually hardly make a profit. I try to take what i want for my personal self off of a car and break even. I agree it looks junk, weather it's the motor he bought from me or not i have no idea. The $900 wasnt just for the engine.


Regarding the Refund:

I personally do not think i owe him any money. First reason is the way i was talked to by steffen right off the get, second reason is i have no idea if this engine is mine or not.

Steffen, out of the kidness of my heart i am willing to give you something even though i have zero proof the engine was mine or came from me. I have multiple cranks that are good, I have a set of s5 housings that are ok, and i believe 1 s4 housing thats decent. I also have a Nice set of rotors s5 n/a with counter weights.
