Exclamation ROTARY_ADDICT-1 is a bad buyer, changed mind and filed charge-back payment

I would advise anyone buying or selling parts to never deal with ROTARY_ADDICT-1. After buying a part from me, he changed his mind. When I told him "no refunds" he claimed the part is a replica but provided no evidence to show why he believes that. He has since filed a PayPal dispute and now the money he paid has been charged-back from my account. Here's the full story:

Recently I decided to sell a used wastegate which I identified as a GReddy "Type R" model. I didn't know all the details, but I was told it's an older version from when they did not stamp their wastegates with any logos. Since I am not an expert on these parts, and also since it was a used part, I listed it "as-is" with multiple photos of all sides showing the details and condition.

I was contacted by ROTARY_ADDICT-1 who offered me less than 1/2 of the original listing price. I have been trying to clean my office so despite his low offer I agreed to sell him the wastegate for the $150-shipped offer.

I packaged the item in bubble wrap and shipped it USPS Priority Mail on the next day. It arrived 2 days later. When he receive the box, he immediately messaged me claiming he wanted his money back. When I said no, he claimed it was replica and accused me of false advertising. He claimed the part is a replica because there are no logos stamped on the part. I explained that it is an older part and how I was told they did not stamp their logos on these.

I told him I could not offer a refund because the part was sold "as-is" meaning it's up to the buyer to determine condition, authenticity, etc. before buying. ROTARY_ADDICT-1 continued to demand a refund. I again explained it was sold "as-is" which is commonly understood to mean "Buyer Beware" and "No Returns." I asked for him to provide me a source that would back up his claim that the part was replica but he has shown me no evidence.

I did some more digging and I found that no one ever produced replicas of this part, so it is certainly authentic. I have been buying/selling parts on this forum for 15 years and I have never been accused of lying about authentic parts.

Despite all of this, ROTARY_ADDICT-1 filed a PayPal dispute and then escalated it to a claim, which triggered PayPal to withdraw the money he had paid me. At this point he has the part and I don't have the money.

Here's the final message he sent me. Clearly not the brightest bulb in the box...

He has the part, and I don't have the money. He's ripped me off in what should have been a simple transaction for a used "as is" part.

In summary: ROTARY_ADDICT-1 is a BAD GUY. Buyers and Sellers beware. He will change his mind and back out of the deal, possibly leaving you without your parts / money.
