I bought a set of FD-dowel S5 TII irons from this joker last year. I posted a WTB thread and he emailed me directly with his phone number. He sent my some photos that looked decent and I paid him a fair price shipped to me. As soon as he got them money, he fell off the face of the earth. I finally got confirmation that he had shipped them but he wouldn't give me a tracking number. After 2 weeks he "finds" the tracking number that was printed that day...
I ended up getting decent parts for a decent price, but the pain in the *** of having to constantly hound him
and the fear of getting scammed was not wort hit.

Best part of the story, I reverse-googled the photos he sent me and he stole them directly from RotaryResurrection.com!

Rxdash713b tried selling me a first gen dash. He seemed really fishy. I sent him this message, "You are new to the forum and have made zero posts. I wont buy anything from a new member."

Update. I had another bizarre, but successful I guess, transaction with Jamal.

recently I posted a WTB thread for FC 89-91 engine front counter weights. According to my measurements, these weights are 0.915" thickness. I should also note that I had plenty of 86-88 weights which are more common, and those are >1" thickness. I posted this information in my WTB thread.

Off the forum I get a message from Jamal offering s5 counterweights and asking if I want to buy, I tell him that I will with the usual deal that he has to send them to me first. I reiterate the thickness that needs to be confirmed. He assures me that they are correct. HE asks how many I need, I tell him I can use several and ask how many he has available, to which he just asks how many I need again, so I throw out 10. He then sends me pics of some in a stack. Some of the pics appear to be the thicker versions, so again I ask to confirm that they are all <1" thickness because some in the pics look questionable. But of course you can't tell a thing like that for sure from pics and he says they are right, so I tell him to send them. We agree that I'll pay a set amount once they arrive and I've inspected them, $25 each which is on the higher end of what I wanted to pay, but fair enough if they are all correct.

He sends them out the next day and sends tracking. The day they are to be delivered is a saturday, and he's already sent me emails that morning asking me if I have them and when I will pay. I reply that they haven't arrived, and I've left the shop for the weekend by mid afternoon.

By Monday mid-morning I have numerous more emails telling me 1) they should be delivered soon, 2) they have been delivered, (those were from later saturday) and 3) when will I pay for them. I get a couple more emails while I am still reading through other stuff that morning again asking for payment and telling me that he's checked his paypal and doesnt see a payment. So I open the box and immediately I can see that most of these are not what I need.

He's sent 9, not 10. I ask what happened and he said the 10th "must be in his car if the box didnt look like it was opened". Okay, whatever, I dont really care how many I get, but that's a pretty lame excuse.

Of the 9, 2 measure the correct thickness. 6 are the 86-88 >1" thickness that I cannot use and did not need, and of those 6, 1 looks like it came from the titanic. The last 1 is kind of an oddball in-between thickness that I'm unsure of, but I gave the benefit of the doubt on that one.

I asked him what the deal was with sending the wrong sizes and he really wouldn't give a straight answer. Later he mentioned something about having to estimate the thickness...even a simple measuring tape would have differentiated the ones I needed from the ones I didn't. I asked what he wanted to do about the wrong ones and he never really said for sure. In the middle of this he is also trying to sell me other random parts and sending me pics of those parts and telling me "dont send them back yet in case you want to buy more parts" which again really made no sense to me.

I wound up paying him for the 3 (2 correct and 1 questionable) plus shipping at the agreed prices, and that was the end of it. I decided not to buy any of the other parts he was offering just to be done with the deal for now. The 6 wrong weights are still sitting on my shelf abandoned.

Jamal Purches, currently calling himself Azteclance on this forum, is a bizarre guy who I had 2 transactions with recently, and I won't do business with him again. I replied to a FS post about FB parts. Before the OP responded Jamal PM'd me asking what I needed. I looked at his profile and he had exactly 10 posts, in one day, then stopped posting. Pretty spammy. But Gosh Damnnit he had what I wanted, and GSL-SE parts are getting hard to find.

He was very weird to text with. He wouldn't answer me directly, and if I asked for a picture of a specific part he would first send a random pic, then Maybe send a pic of the part I wanted, if I asked 4 or 5 times. Example - I wanted SE brake parts - a splitter block for the rear axle and a proportioning block for the front by the master. He said he had them on a GSL-SE and would send them promptly. I asked for pics and he sent pics of a prop block and a coil spring. ??? No, I don't want a spring, I want a splitter block. He sends a pic of a rear end but I can't see the block. "Can you please send a pic of the splitter block?" He sends a pic of a USPS box with my name and address on it. Says it's all packed u and I'll be happy with the quality.

I pay.

Pack arrives and the proportioning valve body is just as pictured and in nice shape. The brake line splitter block is rusted beyond usability, and is trash. Boo Mr Spammer.
He texts me and asks if I need any more SE parts. I do. I've been looking for a SE spare tire (the wheel actually, I'll replace the tire). He has one. I ask for a picture of the SE and he sends one. I ask for a pic of the right front fender and a few minutes later he sends it. Hmm, maybe he is legit. He sends a pic of the spare and it looks okay. I ask for a pic of the underside and he says he has left the storage facility but the underside is in good shape, like the top.

I pay.

10 days later I text him and ask where the tire is. He says he hasn't shipped it yet because he hasn't had a chance to paint it for me. "NO NO NO don't repaint it. I will repaint if needed".. He says okay, and ships that day. Wheel arrives and it is half rust, half silver spray paint. I don't know if it will be worth media blasting and repainting it's so rough.

Long story short, this guy sent the parts I paid for, but misrepresented the quality and was a weirdo to deal with.

Buyer beware.

Well said. I don't think the guy is a criminal, because he did end up sending all the parts I paid him for. But I wouldn't have bought most of it if I'd seen good pictures. He's calling and texting me now, since reading my critique of the transactions. All I can say is I would not recommend doing business with him. I have been selling on ebay for many years with a 100% feedback, and this fellow definitely leaves something to be desired. I didn't know his history of sales and multiple bannings until after the fact.

Jamal Purches aka Vhx Kudasai on facebook

Buyer beware
Jamal Purches is operating under the screen name of VHX Kudasai On Facebook. He lives in Flint, MIchigan

I purchased a 1313 stamped brake caliper from him and when I got the part the piston was seized rock solid. I messaged him in regard to a refund and he sent me a new brake caliper free of charge

fast forward 1 month and he messages me out of the blue asking for me to return the broken/seized caliper at my expense. We go back and forth about how I refuse to pay return shipping when he sent me a faulty part.

we agree on a full refund and I send the parts back. He pays return shipping and I get refunded after the package gets mailed.

All is is well In the world but this guy is a major headache and I would avoid anyone doing business with him in the future. He has most definitely drank the contaminated water

Dont feel bad, I still have those 6 abandoned counterweights on the shelf. I'll probably throw them out in the scrap pile the next time I do a haul to the crusher.

If he spent as much time on communication as he does making accounts on this forum, he'd make a good living.

I bought a 4.33 rear from him. Took a bit as the stories go, but it arrived as it should and I opened it up, was just as he said.

Crazy ****.

Hi guys!

Just wanted to let you all know that as of now he is still operating under Vhx Kudasai and selling people junk. Using vexgriot@aol.com on PayPal.

I am not an RX-7 owner, but I do have a 1990 CRX that he sold me a 5-speed trans for. It shows up and it’s missing bolts, needs a rebuild, and isn’t even the correct trans. (Was looking for a CRX Si trans which has a quick gear ratio, but he sent me a CRX DX trans which is only worth its weight in scrap.)

After days of trying to make things right with him, he still refuses to admit he did anything wrong and won’t refund me. So, despite living in Iowa, I’m taking him to Michigan’s small claims court. He’s not just a lazy businessman, he’s a bonafide scammer for sure.

But I also want to say thank you for sharing your experiences in dealing with him, as all of these threads I can find about his shady practices will look wonderful when laminated and sitting in front of a judge. Wish me luck!

It seems there's quite a few that have had bad transactions with Jamal.

I was too a bit skeptical at first after reading all of these. However, Jamal has become really my go-to guy as far as hard to find OEM parts. I tell him what I need and he gets me pictures that day or the day after. He's usually pretty quick to ship them out afterwards as well. I probably have 10 transactions with him at this point.

I've had one issue with an item and he just sent me a different one and then had me ship back the original. However, it wasn't a high dollar part.

I too have purchased from Jamal multiple times over the years....so far I have never gotten burned. I have something pending with him now, fingers crossed for continued good luck.

I can understand how sometimes the communication is lacking, but I've received a quality/as described part every time.

I want to chime in again, after 2 purchases from him, that I don't think he's a bad guy. Not evil or anything. He's just very, very weird and 3 of the 4 very rare parts I bought were in terrible condition and not as described. I would not buy from him again.

I am a 17 year old who doesn’t have much money and I just sent him a good chunk of money for some LCA’s and now I am reading all of this information about him. Should i expect to be scammed? Now I’m a little nervous that I won’t get my parts. If someone could help me out and tell me what i should except thank you!

I think you'll get your LCA's, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were in bad shape. Like, rusty with totally rotted bushings, and maybe a dripping wet coat of cheap spray paint.

Or maybe they'll be perfect. There's no way to know with this guy. He has a yard full of cars sitting in mud, and he is happy to take off and sell you any part he has. Sounds good if that part is in nice shape, but in my experience.....

Most of the parts were in shitty rusty shape. And one had fresh wet spray paint over the rust, so... its been sitting out in the rain for about a year behind the garage. This after he told me everything was very nice.
