mx3 Don't waste your time with this guy!

I wasted most of my day today to remove a subframe from my FD to ship to this guy because he needed one so desperately he needed me to ship tomorrow with a tracking number he said he would pay pal, and agreed to a price that was just dollars above what shipping cost I didn't really care I was helping a fellow Rx7 owner and I was never going to need this subframe again. After I got it all out of the car and send him a PM just to let him know it's out and I have it boxed up ready to ship he punks out and says he bought one from someone else. Then had the nerve to ask for my torque arm. Some people... I trust him as far as I can throw him. :icon_tdow

yeah, theres a FLAKE for ya,theyre everywhere, here, craigslist the worst! just gotta live with it,just put the subframe up for sale now, somebody will need it,maybe you can actually make some money off it too, next time you have parts up for sale and he replys, just string him along for awhile, waste his time and see how he likes it,i used to do this with those stupid nigerian scammers, ive had them waiting at hotels and western unions for my $$$

Bryan Jacobs 04-20-11 01:08 PM

it happens a lot here....people saying they want this/that and ready to pay, then they disappear

GoodfellaFD3S 04-20-11 03:06 PM

Wow, that's pretty shitty. If you feel the need, negative iTrader feedback is always an option.

mx3, what's your side of the story?

Montego 05-01-11 02:00 PM

That sucks Id be annoyes as well.

just to state the obvious: in the future just make sure you get rhe money first. Yeah some people are just oblivious to what people go through in order to make things happen.

Man that sucks... there are flakes out there, I'll bet he's some kid that just dont have a clue... It happened to me. I dont think I will ever sell anything to anyone under 25 years old ever again. I hope your able to sell it to someone else and make $$$

Montego 05-02-11 11:05 AM

^^ MX3 is no kid. IIRC he is close to 40

Supernaut 05-02-11 01:47 PM

Yea he kinda flaked on me to for something small. It was kind of annoying but he apologized. I don't think he is a bad guy. He probably doesn't know its a rude thing to do. At the very least he owes you a serious apology. That is definitely not cool. Did you PM him?

str8ryd 05-02-11 05:30 PM

I'm going to chime in here...Mx3 might be a slightly difficult buyer, but at the end of the day he doesn't *flake*. Actually, when he first put up his WTB ad I contacted him too regarding this piece. I went through some trouble to get the piece from storage, obtain very detailed pictures and answer all his questions. After that was said and done...I didn't get a response.

Considering that this type of thing happens ALL the time...I figured no biggie. I'll sell it later or use it myself down the road. Anyway, he gets back to me a week later and purchases the part. So, I'm proof that he is a tough sell, but at the same time follows through.

Next time, you should accept a deposit prior to removing items off your own vehicle unless it was something you planned on doing anyways. And...at the end of the day buyers are entitled to be as picky as they want to be. I know I'm very particular, but I also don't waste people's time.

Later,
-Rizwan

I think it is sorta different Riz. I don't think this is the case of being a picky buyer and finding out all that you can about something before the purchase. As a seller, getting pics is part of the job and doesn't guarantee a sell at all and that is fine. I don't mind if a buyer asked me for better pics and decided not to buy when he got more info. I prefer that over a bad transaction and unfullfilled promises. I think the problem here is that the buyer in this case guaranteed a transaction without any stipulations and when it was time to finish the transaction, the buyer backed out. Nadeem also didn't tell the seller that he already found the piece.

I feel for the seller because he was sort of doing a favor and got the short end of the stick but he probably should have waited for the payment first and told the buyer about his expectations of once the piece comes off the transaction is done. In the end, sometimes when you do favors for people you end up being the one that is screwed. Doing favors for someone can also involve some risk. I think you have to sorta be prepared for that outcome. I do think the seller is owed some kind of apology but this isn't exactly totally Nadeem's fault.

I didn't want to do this, but v8envy how do u have the nerve to insult mx3 but ironically three people including my self has paid for items and have not received a tracking numbers nor the goods yet. You say you trust people as far as you can throw them..but for the last 2 weeks no one has received anything from you?

Trust me I rather be flaked on everyday then be screwed out of 500 dollars.

p00shy 05-05-11 05:43 PM

i got screwed out of 900. no tracking number. no reciept. and you said my engine would be delievered the day you pmed me saying fedex called you which was two weeks later. i waited all day and no one showed. i hate it when people waste my time. even worse, steal my money i work so hard for.

im with rogrx7...
