Don't buy a motor from t2ae

Hi Alll
Not sure were to vent but I bought a motor from Evan Spalding username: T2ae and he told me I a have a 1year warranty great i finally had time to install the motor 6 months ago. When I told him I was having hot start issue he said to check my injectors and compression check which turned out to be okay at the time. I had Elliot remote tune the car since its a halfbridge motor but we still couldn't fix the issue. Then I had nelson tune still having hot start issue. When I told him its the motor I never heard back from him called so many times and emailed nothing.....

I sent the motor to luck7 and found out the motor was trash.. i bought this motor for $5200

Sorry about your bad luck. This is why I would never again buy a motor from a random person. Did it once on a personal car many years ago, got burned out of a lot of money. The first thing I would do is try to determine why the bearings spun. From the contact marks on the rotors it looks like the front stack was pinched, causing the bearings to spin. You will have to flush your entire oil system, possibly replace the oil coolers. The porting would have to be checked to ensure it does not go into the oil control ring track or too far outwards that the side seals can catch. From the black marks on the sides of the rotors I suspect either loose clearancing or damaged side seals. Unfortunately in this case much if not all of the motor may be past saving. Let me know if you need any further advice.

Put up a pic of the stationary gears bearings. I am curious to see them.
what the hell can damage the escentric shaft like that? The esceshaft is harder than the bearing..

Let me ask lucky 7 unless they threw it away already. sorry i haven't been on this for awhile. From what they said it because everything was tight and not balance ;/

Determining why/how the rotor bearings spun is almost impossible at this point, the rotor hitting on the irons happens after the bearings are out of place, could be anything from revving the engine high/racing with cold oil to an assembly error to using bad parts to the oil pump failing to other speculations,

The question lies now if there was some type of warranty (which honestly no race engine ever carries) what will make both parties happy. Sounds like the buyer paid a premium for the engine and if the seller offered a year warranty, its time to pony up

1 year warranty when the motor gets installed, he was very responsive when i was having issue with the car and telling me to check a few things. When told him its the motor and we agreed to get half of my money back that's when he stopped responding.
