So who set the map wrong and when did that happen.

Posting because Shawn gave me the green light. Who set the map that way? Talked to all the shops that had it and there isn't much info. Abel says he set the AFR table to 13.5AFR above 12psi on purpose so people don't copy him, but says he doesn't tune closed loop, so it wouldnt even use that AFR table. However, the closed loop WAS turned on and it WAS using it.

To address your other question, Darren put a ton of effort into trying to get into that map before I drove it home so he could "turn down the boost" for me. The car actually is a beast and at WOT is all wheel spin. Took him probably around 30min and he tried three different laptops and finally got in with his macbook running vmware windows. Started clicking around and changing a bunch of stuff. I drove it home and did a couple hardish runs, not WOT. Idle sucked (even before I bought it) so had Elliot look at the map, he said it had tons of issues and have Shawn help me. Shawn's reaction was posted above. Before I showed Shawn the map, I did a couple pulls with logging turned on. Was hitting 13.1AFR at 15PSI.

I fired up my laptop to see what the "Last Run" state was on the map file. It opened right to the boost limits section, which is the ONLY thing I changed.

I decided to move the boost limits up and down to see if it impacted the Target AFR (Gasoline) and it does not. This area I would never have touched as I don't have proper experience and had no reason to.

I verified that closed loop was on and that the AFR settings were 13.x as noted in the last run map which would have been on the car. None of which I changed since leaving Abel's shop. This will confirm Andrey's findings. Again, not something I changed personally, but they are set that way for reasons unknown to me, I didn't tune it.

*NOTE* I DO NOT CLAIM TO BE A TUNER AND NEVER HAVE

The only changes that I personally made, period, were boost limits shown here to bring the boost duty per ethanol.

You get to these in Eugene by doing the following:

Tuning - Air Tab -> Boost Settings -> Limits -> Limit Boost by Ethanol View/Edit Table Button -> From 60.00 to 85.00 Ethanol content, boost duty was lowered from 65 & 70 to 55 across the board. Anything under 55.0 ethanol was 0. This would mean the ECU should interpolate between 40 and 50, but once it's lower than 40 it's a flat 0.

If this is going to become an issue of tuning - that needs to be taken up with the shop that did the tuning. I lowered the boost, which is the only thing I know how to do in Eugene aside from starting a log to send.

So "all that clicking around" was me fumbling with VMWare / Eugene trying to get the usb to recognize, while breathing in the exhaust that was accumulating in my garage since the car was idling.

If the tune was indeed set to close loop and referenced the 13 AFR, how long was the car running this way and what potential damage could it have caused to the motor?
