hello all rx7club west. i just wanted to warn you all about a ex-friend of mine of ten years that decided he has the authority to steal my expensive KSP-ENG aftermarket hubs from me. if he or his goons post here, i will write the full testimony. this is a warning not to do business with this individual as they have proven to be untrustworthy and will justify stealing from you!

I can make a pretty good educated guess what's going on here, but this is not the place. But I know for sure you put those hubs in Robert's hands willingly early on. This is between you two. Be prepared to get serious push back from the kagillion of forum members Robert has helped out over the years asking for practically nothing in return. One of the most giving guys I've ever known, and I've been around a while.

This kind of crap needs to stay in PM's or at least in the proper posting forum. This kind of thing is what the Buyer Feedback forum is for. Dude, it looks really bad on you that you started this look-at-me-I'm-angry thread here. Very immature.

actually i wanted to take my hubs home and rob refused, saying he would help me press in studs and wanted to take measurements. i reluctantly left them with him, based on him wanting to hold onto them and trusting him after ten years. now hes got it in his head that i owe him some huge favor. not to mention theres a damn good chance he installed these on this car without contacting me at all. i just know i was raised better than to ever use someones parts or hold them hostage asking for money that wasnt agreed apon. i know he has a bunch of people that hes helped, but that doesnt mean that hes not acting incorrectly or like a douchebag. thank you. when i get my parts back the threads will cease.

 

just because you 'willingly' put something in someone's hands doesnt mean ownership transfers. this is america and i have the right to use and enjoy my property. i dont understand how now 2 of roberts friends dont understand that simple concept. do not try to justify theft, it makes you look like an idiot.

 

heres what i sent to robert "i dont know if you realize this or not, man, but the original agreement was to take you out to dinner for swapping the injectors. we agreed on that. my car didnt break down and require any extra work until the injectors you told me to buy made my car disabled. at that point i was in worse trouble than when i had came, and you felt bad for me for that reason. i said dont do additional work while im not there and you went against my wishes and pulled the whole manafold when i wasnt even present. its not fair to work on someones car against their wishes, let along want compensation for it later. after that, you helped me by talking to fris and towing my car for gas, and thankfully fris tuned my car for free for such a shitty time with them. at that time i was on very hard times, no doubt about it. if its recognition for your work, you have it. im sorry for dissapearing but i do that all the time in the rx7 scene just so i can stay afloat when i get behind in other departments. thats understandable. but i didnt come to your house tonight trusting you like a bank and a friend to have my hubs gone and not returnable unless i reappear with cash, now that i have some to spare for a short while before next semester sucks it all away, again. you see a bumper in the car and my car sold, and with my part being trusted with you, its easy for you to construct a scenario where i owe you. but when all that happened, and i went out and bought the parts i always planned to buy for that fc, even at the cost of having it run by now, i didnt think i owed you money. i thought i owed you as a friend. i owed you time and gratitude, conversation, help, loyalty, honor, respect, and races. what you showed me tonight is that you refuse to accept my lifestyle and my circumstances at my age in my life. youve shown me that you arent trustworthy, respectful, or think that people from my socioeconomic background are worth your time, respect, or friendship. you want to take six hundred dollars from me when its debatable if i owe you anything, let alone parts i sacraficed for weeks for. even if you felt shorted, what youre doing is completely hypocritical and immoral. you think youre right but you couldnt even look at me for more than a sentence by the end of it. i stand by everything ive said, and ive remained tactful and continue to believe that you are presumably using my parts against my will. im sorry you feel the way you do, and you need to seriously consider destroying a ten year friendship over a sunday afternoon of wrench turning gone bad, or some part that can be ordered online still, anyway. also, you have a very strong name in the community, and im shocked that you would behave so foolishly and shamefully. the money you feel i owe you and the parts that are mine that i intrusted you with are two seperate issues, and for you to force them to be one issue is nothing short of childish, illegal, and shows a complete lack of decency. you can hide behind a powerful and pretty fc all you want, but your true colors are showing, my old friend...

as you can see ive tried to communicate with him and hes stubborn and unwilling. if you want to side with him out of blind loyalty, then you are ignoring the fact that hes a mega douchebag and has been for the last decade, and you are backing up someone who not only stole, but cannot even reply with common decency or intellectual capacity. hes a self rightous and entitled dumbass who i will be persuing with the police.

For perspective, a few points I've heard of Efinity.

Hubs have been sitting (essentially stored) at Roberts for over a year.

I hear his daily driver is a BMW (M1?)

I've heard he lives in a Newport Beach Condo

All Robert ask for the work he did was less than half what Lucky 7 would have charged for the same work. Waited for something approaching a year to receive something, anything. Efinity maintains he no money to make things right while at the same time driving around in his BMW and living in his Newport Beach condo.

yes, let me tell you whats wrong with this picture. none of that information is accurate or any of your god damn business. the hubs were at robs house for less than a year, and i visit him periodically when in the area. i had a bmw daily that ended up costing me a shitload and i got rid of it for way under value to help pay off credit card debt and school. robert did the work out of his own goodwill and the agreement was settled when the work was done. i walked away from the situation not feeling like i owed anything to anyone. at that point its my perogative what i do with my money. just the fact that hes feeding you such one sided info should set off a red flag for you, unless your head is located somewhere up his ***. i live in a condo thats 400k underwater (that i have to move out of) and my family just lost 2 of our properties due to foreclosure. also, my dad just had a major stroke this last holidays and we are still trying to recover. ya, im swimming in it...*******..


im ******* broke and it doesnt matter what i USED to drive, the fact that i live in irvine for a few more days, or that my parts were sitting in my friend's attic for a year. none of those things matter. what matters is someone took posession of my property. you must not be american or college educated if you cannot understand these basic concepts.. please do not talk to me like you know me or my circumstances, and its horribly sad the amount of people rob must tell that im some rich kid or whatever. it doesnt matter where i come from, he has prejudgice against people that are more priviledged than him because of his massive inferiority complex.

OP im with you,i had a t2 hood stolen out of my yard by a p.o.s. posing as a fellow rx7 enthusiest,i posted a thread in my regional section warning everyone about his thieving ways,it stayed up until the little weasel complained to a mod and it was deleted,he's never contacted me directly until i put a lot of pressure on him thru the internet,funny,he's never made it back to my house either,you can certainly judge people not only by the company they keep but also who they stand up for,not pointing fingers here,just sayn does anyone like having their **** taken??

 

Sorry you got screwed, but what does that have to do with either of these guys. This is more about compensation than what the OP's mis-placed suggestion of theft. This is closer to collateral put up for a debt by default, debt not paid, so collateral forfeited.

To OP, bottom line at the core of all this I have to believe there was a breakdown in communication between you two. However, that certainly doesn't justify this mis-placed look-at-me-I'm-angry thread. You seem very adept at complaining, but not so well at finding solutions.

I'm upside down in my house, just like you're suggesting you're upside down in your Condo. But with a little effort, if you take advantage of the HARP/HARP/other programs created to deal with that, you can make that situation workable. If you don't make that effort, that's all on you.

Sidebar, sorry to hear about your Dad and that your family also got caught in the epidemic of foreclosures. But I gather the foreclosures were investment properties (guessing the condo is one of them since you have to move out). That being the case, they're members of a very very large investments gone bad club.

hoz, ive known rob for ten years and we have periods in which we dont talk. this is well known between us and he is using that as a fat excuse. there was no communication breakdown, he had my number and facebook and rx7club and email. secondly the parts were not used at collatoral, there was no agreement, and there was no dollar amount expressed at the time of the work. its being applied 8 months later because i now have a little scratch from my sold car and hes sour/jealous. that money i have will be gone within one semester at college. i just turned 26, and this is a 45 year old man taking advantage of me. hozz you seem like youre trying to keep your head on your shoulders, but youre really not displaying empathy or an ability to see both sides. you are just repeating rob's chant...

i had no and have no debt to rob, that is a fabrication of a man who fancies himself a shop out of his own garage. once you realize that i am not in debt to this man through any agreement or contract, and only through his imagination, then you will be able to see that he stole from me parts that were never intended to be used as collatoral. i would have just taken my car home and let it rot before i let him have those parts. if you cant see how hypocritical and backwards that is, then theres no hope for you.

the problem is rob's head has inflated 100000 times as his project gets faster and requires more money and takes him away from his family more and more. its obvious. and the fact that you would stand up for such behavior is telling.
