no BOV and WI preturbo
I dont know if any of you experimentors have had any experience with running preturbo water injection and no BOV. Considering the water would be injecting moments before the throttle cut, i imagine there is some interaction between compressor surge and water droplets.
Complete speculation, but does anyone feel that it would increase the desire to have a BOV if running preturbo WI? |
I've been running per turbo WI without a BOV and haven't experienced any issue. I just cleaned my air filter yesterday and noticed some residue below the atomizing nozzle. I'm gonna have to switch washer fluid as I'm running rain x -25* plus Heet to get 50/50 mix cheap. The compressor housing and blades look perfectly clean though. I'm so glad I'm not running a BOV. I had problems before with one leaking and now I can actually check my oil dipstick without getting burned, as before it was on the elbow and was in the way.

No. Ran one for 3-4 years at 700rwhp on pump fuel and 100% water injection. NO PROBLEMS
