My AEM Water injection setup/build
Hi, i want to share my AEM WI install. My goal with it is to be safe since in my town we dont have 93-94 octane fuel. So i run to 91
First, find a place to mount the pump! My car as been converted from auto to manuel by me and the right way so i have only one oil cooler so i think it's a perfect spot for the pump. So let built a good support! http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...n/DSC03061.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...n/DSC03059.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...n/DSC03060.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...n/DSC03062.jpg DON'T PANIC! THIS IS MY OLD AUTO TRANS COOLER |

http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...n/DSC03069.jpg Next find a place for a tank! I have my idea  http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...n/DSC03105.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...n/DSC03104.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...n/DSC03103.jpg I made it from stainless steel with baffle inside to limit the water mouvement. It hold 4.4 liters and use existing mounting point and fit in the rebar. |
I was afraid that my pump take some air in cornering with a tank like this so i made an auxiliary tank that feed from the primary tank! Made out of SS and hold 0,6 liters

When the tank is full it give me an empty signal loll |

http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...n/DSC03118.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...n/DSC03117.jpg This is how i mount the filter. Between the primary and secondary tank! Again i use stock mounting point and it clear everything so dont cut anywhere on stock body/part http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...n/DSC03128.jpg |
And finaly this is how i install the nozzle on my Greddy elbow!
http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...b/DSC03211.jpg and my AEM controller http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...n/DSC03227.jpg That it! All comment are welcome |
Nice work, looks good. WI is my next upgrade and this gave me some great ideas, thanks for sharing.

Thank man! I run it for 2 month and it work realy great. Next project is to install my 25row setrab oil cooler to replace my single oem oil cooler! It's a kind of realibility mod for me because i dont track my car.
Since i got the WI install, i never have to refill it. I have about 1000km done and i boost every time i can :) 5 liters is overkill for a daily drive but on a track it would be great! |
So far, so good! The car is now in storage for the long winter here! I run all summer long with water only and never have to refill my 5 liter system. When i put the 7 in storage i bleed off the remaining water in the tank to see how much left. The big tank was empty and the little one was full so i use about 4 liter for about 2000km.
Next summer i will try with 50/50 to see if i can bring down the IAT |
Did you grind the welds flush on that SS aux tank?

I'm ready to try 50/50 meth/water to decrease intake temp and i got the idea to mix it with 2 stroke oil for add lubrification when i'm in boost! I dont premix right now!

Why? You already have a terrific avenue for delivery with the fuel system, with the amount being delivered more consistently. Besides, the oil is designed to mix with gas...not water and not alcohol. And two-cycle may not be very nozzle friendly over time.
