Carbon build-up and turbos?

Hey guys,

So, I pulled my turbos and took a peek into my chambers. It seems like there's a bit of carbon build-up on my rotors (stock motor). My fancy new water injection should make quick work of that. The problem is, I also have a shiny new turbo that I will be bolting on to the motor which will subsequently have all that lovely build-up flowing though it. I guess my question is;

Will having my engine "steam cleaned" with all the carbon build-up being "washed" out of it damage my turbo at all? If so, is there any way to avoid it?

I know regular WI use keeps the carbon down, but I'm more concerned about the "first time" 15 years of build-up that's going to come off relatively quickly.

WI is not a high pressure water jet cleaning system.
It is a high pressure mini particle fog system.
Carbon is burned off, not chipped off.
