Aquamist HFS-3 v2 with RX-7 Summer v3 - Injector Duty Cycle WI System!

I haven't seen many people using Aquamist's Injector Duty driven Water/Meth injection systems on Rotaries. I know they are usually more expensive than other alternatives but I got the opportunity to get a complete setup for a great price used and I just jumped on it!

It includes:

Howerton Engineering baffled dual tank (2 gal capacity) with pump mount with fan to keep the pump cool and low level sensor.

Aquamist's Aquatec pump rated at 1.3 GPM free flow, bypass unit with adjustable pressure to 250 psi.

IDC Fast Acting Valve capable of 1600cc/m

in-line Turbine Flow sensor

HFS3 v2 Controller and 52mm Gauge

RX-7 IDC Summer Unit

Fail Safe - can be setup different ways, I'll have it so that it drops boost to wastegate spring when triggered.

The system will drop to wastegate spring in case of clogged nozzles (low flow), leaks (too much flow), or low level sensor (low water in tank)

Once fully setup the system gets overall injector duty from primary and secondary injectors from the RX-7 Summer Unit and matches this duty with the Fast Acting Valve. Changing Water to Fuel ratio is just a matter of choosing properly sized nozzles.

I will be running a TDX61 turbo with 750/2200 injectors, tuning to as high as I can get - for now I'll have to stop at around 28-29psi due to the 3bar map sensor.

I'm going to setup the system for 2x nozzles, one preturbo one post IC.

It's gonna take a while though, I'm just barely starting my build. :egrin:

Opinions?

I have a very similar setup.
HSF-3
RX-7 Summer
2 1.0 nozzles
750cc/min pri
2150cc/min secondaries

My biggest piece of advice would be to physically measure the flow of your actual setup when you are done. Mine varied greatly from what the aquamist charts predicted, and knowing your actual flow is essential for not blowing your motor.

Hey guys I just bought pretty much the same setup. Im finding it pretty hard to find an RX7 Summer unit. Does anyone know the proper way to wire the hfs3 to your injectors.

You can wire the aquamist directly to one of the secondary injector grounds to send a dutycycle to the HFS-3 module. This will work as long as you are not maing significant boost on your primaries. I would recommend using the summer module, though.
