Anyone know which kit this is?
 

So when I purchased the car, the previous owner threw this in. I know it's coolingmist (obviously) but just wondering if there is a specific kit for it? From what came with the kit, I'm guessing it's this one.

A shop is doing the install tomorrow because I really have no clue with all these wires and parts, I have no idea what is what.

Is this kit a single nozzle or dual?

If it's dual nozzle, I'm going to have it at a 3 and 6 oclock position in the coupler before my greddy elbow like Howard Coleman's thread shows. If only one nozzle, where should I mount it?

you can run dual with anything really. It's a coolingmist varicool trunk mount kit. They have since changed lots of things with their progressive controllers and made them much better. I got the same varicool progressive controller as you did and it came to me bad but I bought it from a vendor on ebay so I couldn't get it warrantied. I still have the same kit but have it setup on a boost switch (they sell it on their site) and I spray full force at 14psi on a single m10 nozzle. I also upgraded to the 250psi pump and have it set at 200psi so it's quite a bit of water but when I was running 20psi of boost in my car on pump gas I had no problems. I installed the nozzle preturbo which I would suggest doing if I where you.

Check their site out but both those nozzles are going to be different sizes. I believe they came with an m5 and an m10 so one will be spraying more than the other unless you decide to buy one that matches.

also the brass fitting in the second to last pic with the red cap is a clog detector and the black device I believe is a solenoid.

The black thing on the left is a solenoid, but the brass thing with the red cap is a boost(hobb's) switch.

Ok, so it's been a while but I'm trying to find technical information for this kit. We are having trouble testing this to see if it's spraying. We basically have it all hooked up and then we have the car running and we apply compressed air to pressurize and we get no water coming out.

you cannot use a solenoid with that controller, you need a checkvalve. If you have the solenoid connected that is why its not turning on.

So the solenoid is that solid black thing on the left hand side in picture 4 above correct?

So that should not be hooked up and it should just be used to run the water through or can it be removed from the system all together?

If that is the solenoid and it is able to be eliminated from the system, then could we just swap a check valve in where the solenoid would be?

I don't know if that is the problem to be honest because what we did was we removed the hose coming off from the pump and applied compressed pressure into the Vari-Cool which should simulate "boost" and no water came out straight from the pump. That couldn't still be because of the solenoid could it? I would think water would come out.

Black with two red plugs is a solenoid. YOu need to use something to stop the water from draining. You can hook it up to the pump's power signal (i would think), so it opens when the pump starts, or you can buy a check valve and use it.

IF you want to use two nozzles, then you will need a check valve, and use the solenoid. If you want to setup a pre turbo, or activate one later, then you would use the solenoid and the hobbs switch, as well as a check valve.

you can NOT hook that solenoid to the pump, if you do it will lock up. That solenoid is not design to take a PWM signal, again it will lock up.

Ok so we were able to get the pump working and water is pumped out, but it doesn't get to the spray. He is saying there are 2 solenoids? It gets past the first one and then he said there is a smaller solenoid, but it's not opening up.

Is this the one you guys are talking about?

I don't know if he was talking about the black solenoid on the left or that piece with the white plastic on the right.
