These BETE nozzels look prett good. the cc's seem low though. what BETE nozzle would you use for 500whp w/ 1600cc injectors and all water?

They come in different sizes. Check out my post #51 above. If you are using a 150 psi pump, you can get up to 2 liter/min (look at the 10 bar column).

Sorry for the naive post here, but I need help in selecting the correct jet size for my Aquamist meth setup. I have a 20B running a T78BB turbo and an HFS-3 Aquamist methanol injection kit specifically designed for the 3 rotor (it has a larger pump). I plan on running a 50/50 meth mix and the car currently makes 525 at 12 PSI and 650 whp at 18 PSI. I also plan on using this for safety only as I am quite happy with my current WHP levels but want to be a safe and cool as possible.

Given the above, what do you guys recommend for the size of the jet nozzle? Or do you recommend two nozzles and if so, which ones. Here is a link to the jets available thru Aquamist:

using 650 rotary rwhp as your max.....


650 X 1.92 = 1248 CFM of air.

1248/ 14.471 = 86.24 pounds of air per minute

using a 10.75 AFR... 86.24/ 10.75 = 8.02 pounds per min of gasoline

8.02/ 6.35 (pounds per gal) = 1.26 gal per minute of gas

1.26 GPM = 4769 CC/Min

(BTW... adj for 85% max duty cycle you want 4769 X 1.176 or 5610 min total gross injector cap)

given your setup and objectives:

you really should not run meth. you should just run water. water has almost 3 times the cooling (which is what you are after) than meth. so you can run smaller delivery and accomplish the two things you need.... cooling and cleaning.

i am not totally dialed on pure water as i run no water, just meth... (of course i have different goals/equip than you)...

my guess is you need about 15% water (distilled only). that would be in the area of

4769 X .15 or 715 CC/Min.

i suggest you post on the AQ forum your 4769 CC/Min number and ask their advice as well as for the suggested nozzle/restrictor numbers.

Thanks so much for this Howard. I have reached out to Richard at AQ directly with the question as well and he hasn't gotten back with me as of yet.

I'll definitely consider water for my needs and from your calculations, I think the two recommended 1.0 4 mm nozzles will do the job. We'll see what Richard says. Want to have this on the car by DGRR hence the urgency with the question.

As an aside, I just got back from PLX my AIT sensor unit so I can measure the differences in AIT pre and post installation.

Running 95 octane with BNR's @ 18-19 psi with 20/80 meth to H20 pre throttle body, after turbo (420-440 rwhp) with a 250 psi pump what nozzle sizes should I be using????

I am planning on running meth injection on my fc but I think after reading the thread. I might use alcohol instead of meth injection. Is it harder to get alcohol?
