AEM nozzle size for conservative H20 only?

Hi.

I am just finishing my install of an AEM WI system in my 93 FD. (will post set up pics when done)

I have stock internals, BNR stage 3 turbos, knightspots V-mount & intake, SMB dp, bonez high flow midpipe and racing beat catback. stock primaries and 1200cc secondaries.

I have 110psi compression on all rotor faces and was conservatively tuned by Nelson at R3 to about 260whp.

the car is clean and only has 29k miles so I want to keep it running happy for a long time. I do intend to track it occasionally and for safety added the AEM kit. I intend to run ONLY distilled water.

The kit gives me a choice of 3 nozzles:

<200hp -- 130cc/min
200-350hp -- 315cc/min
350-600hp -- 550cc/min

I was thinking of running the smallest one (130 cc min) because my tune is quite safe even though technically my crank hp is closer to 300.

would you guys recommend using the 130cc or 315cc nozzle?

I'll be at sevenstock/mazfest running the track day and want everything running happy.

any advice would be helpful.

thanks.

315...which IIRC is the same as a M3 nozzle.
Our cars are similiarly modded and probably a similar tune. M3 is what I run. Stock ignition, stock plug ranges on a boost activated system. There might be a little power sacrificed, but I honestly can't tell from the seat.
The only down-side IMO is dependent on the size of your reservoir...and it lasting the whole track session.

Nicely done car BTW. :icon_tup:

I agree with the 315. I've used that nozzle on the stock twins at 13psi for a couple of years now. I had the car tuned without the WI and then added it as a safety which has worked perfectly.

I will echo that you should maximize your tank size for track days. I have a coolingmist 1.5gal tank and during a 20 minute session I'll usually use at least half of it.

I'm using the big rear euro washer tank. volume and stealth. :)
