Setting up for e85

Well now that i moved back to my home town (miami) i have decided to switch to e85 since a lot of gas stations carry it. my questions is would i be okay to run 1000cc/2000cc ID injectors with 2 boshes 044 pumps or would i need a 3rd pump? i'm not planning on running more than 20-21 psi.

thanks

That would work

You still having your car worked in Orlando or are you using someone local?

I am running 4XID2000 with 65PSI base pressure.
My DC's are around 70% at 25 PSI now and 12.2:1 AFR's.
Making gobs of power. Somewhere around 600 RWHP.
Run 2 Bosch 044's coming off a sump fed by an intank Walbro.
E85 is good stuff. Wish I would have done it sooner.
BTW....don't run high AFR's with E85, you will crack an iron or something if you have the slightest misfire. Too much liquid and nowhere for it to go.

I'm still not sold on that injector size combo. I only say that as I've been thinking of going with that same exact setup. RXTASY57 is hitting a higher duty cycle than I would think with his setup and he's running 65PSI base fuel pressure! I guess the only way to be sure is to try it out.

With my setup, I'm running 80psi base and hitting ~90% DC at ~20psi on 6xID1000.

Same pumps, but in tank (which I don't recommend).

I'm thinking of going with a pair of 2000s for one set of secondaries. That would give me the same fuel as him, but I'm wondering if that's enough.

I'm also running lower compression rotors, so I can/should really crank up the boost. So lower comp rotors, extra fuel, lean it out a bit and crank up another 5psi...and I'm sure there's some timing that can be added in...

We'll see how it goes.

 Wow that's nuts! Those ID's are not cheap either!

Railgun, why don't u recommend the pumps in tank?

If you've tried to fit them in a drop-in setup...it's not pretty. I did it as I didn't have time at the time to really get a sump setup. Secondly, my plumbing solution didn't help. I'm probably biased against it just for that reason alone. I have to disconnect the lines from the plate and pumps while still in the tank. Huge PITA, but it's my own fault as opposed to the mounting solution.
