Going E85
 

Hey guys i've decided I want to go E85, I want to run 4 ID2000 injectors, with a walbro 485 ( the e85 compatible) pump, i have two injectors and the pump already so all i need is the other 2 injectors, will that one pump be sufficient enough for me to hit 500whp on e-85 or will i need to run two of them? also will i need to change out any of my fuel lines? i did research online and it said that myth was false, but wanted input from somebody who has actually switched and has experience. im going to be running a haltech ps1000 , and i wanted to do two different maps one for 93 and one for e85 just incase i ever need to fill up with 93. will the haltech be able to handle the id2000 in the primaries on 93 octane pretty well? i know some guys have done it for e85

A competent tuner will have no issues getting the ID2000s to work in the primary position.

No need for two maps. Haltech just released full 3D flex fuel control with the latest firmware update. This allows you to setup 3D maps for ethanol content adjustment for fuel, ignition, and boost level. You simply wire in the Haltech/Ford flex fuel sensor that gets plumbed into the fuel return line and then calibrate the maps to suit. When properly setup, you'll be able to run any blend of ethanol with fully automated adjustment from the ECU.

I've read how those haltech addons were expensive...that the base ecu doesn't come with many of the things someone would want. Is that true?

Just like any other system you need the flex fuel sensor. It's around $200 retail. That's the only part required.

I would sure want to run E85 even if I'm not running a turbo system.91 in LA prices suck!

2 255lph walbros make 500hp so one 485lph maybe

If anything just use a Kenne Bell boost-a-pump if you need more juice.
