The ID2000's respond very well to increases in fuel pressure, so if your pump(s) can handle the pressure, you can turn it up to get some more breathing room..
Bruce is running twin bosch 044's, which is also what I'll be using on my 4x ID2000 E85 setup.. |
Im using twin nippon denso(supra) pumps. I *might* swap them out, I'm hearing that they won't flow past 75ish psi?
|
I have 4 ID2200 with T04R. At 23psi and 472 rwhp it's at 73% duty cycle.

I ran the Pikes Peak car on E-85 with the following setup:
1/2" feed and return fuel lines 550cc RC primaries 1600CC RC secondaries single Walbro in-tank stock S4 FPR AEM EMS GT3588r E-85 premixed with Redline Powersports 2-cycle oil. this setup gave us 370whp on a very safe and conservative tune. Not sure how much E-85 helps lower engine temps, although I know several cars that ran very close to overheating on pump gas run cooler on E-85. I know that the race cars engine runs on the thermostat and we have to really lean on it to see 180/185 temps. |

Hey Bruce,
What fuel pump are you running? I have 4 of the ID2000's and curious how well my set up is going to work. Also what turbo do you have nowadays? Running a Turbonetics BB T72 now. Good to see you again! |

Hum? I am closer to 80% @ 20PSI.....what AFR's are you running?
I know it's rich, I'll be changing that when I switch to Haltech PS1000. Ken |

Can the base pressure stay around the same as gas?

You also need to tweak your battery voltage map when running these injectors. Maybe Aaron could expound on that? |

For your HP goals, I would probably go the route of twin 044's and ~60psi base. At 60psi base pressure, you should be good for ~750hp at 9krpm based on our injector calculator. If running 20psi boost, the pumps will be at 80psi, and supplying ~9000cc/min. Meanwhile the injectors will be flowing ~8300cc/min, so you'll have a little bit of room with the pumps.. Also note that without 3D compensation tables for the deadtimes (voltage compensation), as base pressure increases, you will be increasing the minimum flow of the injector and may lead to a slightly rich idle.. |
You really have to be careful when using some ECU's and the way they calculate IDC. I have seen an ECU that was "properly set up" show 100% IDC when the reality was closer to 60%. If you think your injectors are maxing out too early for the hp/airflow/afr or BSFC, and your sure they are not clogged, dropping voltage, etc., then really check through the injector setup.

2a+RoN, sorry for my vague question, you answered exactly what I was wondering.

I adjusted my FPR to 60 PSI base today and that really helped!
Ran rich as hell until I trimmed it down. |
What is your IDC after this change?

I think it will be around 85% at 25 PSI. |
reading into this with a double pump set-up, you have posted the magnafuel y-fittings, I was wondering what it cost, I found this guy and was wondering how they compared since they seem identical.
