Best fuel for a car that sees intermittent driving

Here in Texas we have the following available and readily available. Question is, would you rather buy 93 with Ethanol or 87 with no Ethanol and add an octane booster? I have been choosing the latter and adding my “cocktail” of mix to keep my fleet running, especially those cars that may sit longer between drives.

Given this is a rotary we are talking about....octane is your friend. For the sake of longevity and not losing an engine over a single detonation event resulting from a poorly mixed puff or two of fuel from the injectors, it would likely serve you well to run 93, and add octane booster. Or spray water. Or water/meth. Or E85. Or basically anything other than gangsta-mix 87.

I chose the no ethanol since it sits and I believe it won’t attract as much water and gum the lines and deteriorate the gaskets. Running it is best and I don’t top it off. Notice I do cocktail it with a mix of octane booster and some premix. Nothing worse than a dirty tank and lines. Ethanol is a pain in my book. Preference I guess.

Curious as to what others have and do? Race gas, it’s not a daily and is kept low miles but needs to run when called on. :)
