information

can anyone point me in the direction of where to find out the features etc of the aem for the FD? their website tells you absolutely nothing about it other than its plug-n-play.

one main question i have is can it be configured for 6 injectors?

thanks

Best thing would be to contact a tuner who has experience with the AEM and the RX-7. Search around and find out who's running them and where they had theirs tuned.

Next best thing would be to download and install the (free) AEMPro software, it includes instructions PDFs for all the EMS's that are sold by AEM.
C:\Program Files\AEM\AEMPro\Instructions

Short answer is yes it can be configured for up to 10 injectors, but some of the injector outputs might be used for other things in the RX-7 plug-n-play calibration (turbo or emissions control solenoids). If you're not planning to use all the emissions and turbo control solenoids then it shouldn't be too hard to re-wire the harness and reconfigure the calibration to use those injector outputs for injectors.

my co-worker, Derek at Mellenium Racing Developement in Portsmouth, VA loves the AEM. he has put out many cars using that ecu including an 1100hp supra, 700hp Eclipse, his personal 230 whp n/a 240. and will be tuning my p-port fd. along with others. I have also see him tune rx7s with the pfc so he has experiance both with the AEM and the rx7. if anyone has any questions pm me and i can ask him and get back to yall

I am doing the swap but waiting for Ray to tune it. Shit i cant even get it to fire up on the AEM.....

I've had the AEM EMS w/ wideband for about two years, and the car runs beautifully. Tri-Point Engineering did the tuning on a chassis dyno. From what I can tell, definitely not for the amateur tuner, needs a professional.

well my pfc seems to do the job fine. I was mainly looking to go with the AEM to use the 2 step. I guess I will keep running the pfc until I get the chance to have Ray set it up.

Yes you can , and much more , please let me know the ver of the AEM that you have , cause the old ones cames with a lots of bugs , for example I got the ver 1 and I sent the AEM EMS 3 times at the AEM factory and just 8 months ago I could make the AEM works properly,
Chek the Air temperature , the Speed sensor and the TPS , if they work properly is that you have the last hardware and you will have no problems.

Plus you have to zeroing the Ingnition trigger.

I only work with AEM here in Chile South America and I can tell you that ones you get use to the software you can do amazing things , it just very nice for the price by far (better than anything else for the $$). It just comparable with the Motec , but at an affordable price.

If you have more questions , just let me know.
