DFCO wont turn off.

30-1800 Series 1 box with all the updates. The DFCO is set to off and I have set the parameters out of reach just in case but my wideband still goes full lean off throttle.

Any ideas?
Checked settings with AEMPro.

I'm assuming you have looked at/logged injector pulse widths. What are your decel fuel table numbers like?

I'm going to attach a screenshot of my decel table settings. It looks completely untouched. I've asked my tuner and basically he's tuned me simply to be able to drive around. In his defense he's not very familiar with the AEM and has only used it a few times, but he is a certified Apexi Pro tuner.

It was tuned on his dynojet, 3k load at 10psi (wastegate spring) couldn't do anything further because the stock clutch was burning. The car drives fine apart from being very rich and misfiring during idle because it is so rich; will probably turn down the fuel pressure and see if that helps.

Anyways, if anyone could help me out with my decel fuel tables I would appreciate it.

That was just showing you dAccel tables, what I was referring to though was the decel area of your main fuel table. I would say start by trying to log you injector pulse widths to see if they are injecting fuel, could be injecting such a minuscule amount that your gauge reads full lean.

You mentioned you're running rich at idle, I wouldn't necessarily recommend turning down fuel pressure to fix this problem unless your fuel pressures are rather high and you're OK with remapping/re-calibrating the tune.

Haha this is exactly why I don't tune my own cars. I'll get a pic of it when I get home. I have a log of one of my test drives so I'll have to take a look at that too.
I'll try to touch up the idle area instead of messing with the fuel pressure.
Thanks for the advice thus far.

Okay, I've attached the actual fuel table this time.

Attach your cal. instead of screen shots. Much easier to look through and track down problems.

Slow2k 09-09-14 02:18 PM

Just tried to attach the .cal now and I think the tuner may have locked the .cal as it does not show up unless I am using AEMPro to open it. There is a lock attached to the file name.

Pretty weird that you can't attach the .cal. What I believe you need to look at though is "Options - Decel Fuel" and "Parameters - Decel Fuel"

Both of which are found under: Fuel > Deceleration Fuel

Go to Fuel > Decel Fuel > Options Decel Fuel. This is where you will find the info you are looking for. The template you have open has the advanced Decel fuel options, not what you need.

Also, You cannot look at inj pw to determine if DFCO is working or not. The ECU will always determine inj Pw even if DFCO is on. DFCO is treated like a fuel cut. You will find it working by looking at the DFCO channel turning on and off and also by watching "Fuel Inj #xx Open". This tooth value will represent the tooth on the trigger wheel where the Injection event is happening. When a fuel cut or DFCO is enabled this tooth value will go to 255 teeth.

If you guys have questions don't hesitate to email or PM me.

I could not for the life of me figure it out either when I had the AEM box. Tried all the parameters that should have disabled the fuel cut and it still cut fuel. Whatever, sold the engine and ecu onto Microtech and 20b. Good luck!
