AEM ignition issues.

I have an issue with not getting spark to my plugs. tested the coils and ignition boost and all is working but not spark to plugs. sent unit to AEM and they tested it and gave it the good seal of approval. i was wondering that since the OMP was deleted from the wiring maybe there is a ignition safe mode? the original tune included the OMP. any suggestions?

Did you see anything in the laptop that would suggest no spark? No Stat Sync'd or what were the firing locations for the injectors and coils?

I am waiting for another serial cable so I can connect to the ecu. Ill let you know

did you rebuild your engine?
check if you have rpms signal when you crank it

This was fixed already. Too much gap on the cam and crank sensors. The mag signal was not strong enough for the ecu to read the signals.

I have the same problem 6 years ago :D

Thats why i was asking

I believe there was a hardware update to address some concern like this. You can change the sensetivity settings or add shims if you have an issue like this.

It took me a long while to figure that out 6 years ago
I just to have 2 identicals FDs and the AEM work in one but not into the other, and the stock ecu works on bouth.
A rebuild engine change the distance between the wheel and the sensors when you lap the lateral iron housings, so one of my rx7 was with a non rebuilded engine , and that was the one that started with the AEM

Very tricky!

I have also found that jdm engines have slightly larger gaps.
