fast acting IAT settings?
What is the settings for the triumph fast acting IAT? I swear mine have to be off, cold car and it starts out at 90 degrees.

I don't know them, however I will say its best to just zero out your intake temp correction map( it usually is this way anyhow ) and only use the two extreme ends for adding or subtracting fuel . Honestly you should never be near the higher end ( what I would say is 170 plus f ) as you are not only loosing a lot of power, but risking the engine .

The Triumph IAT has a very similar curve to the stock FD sensor. Close enough that it is used as a substitute with the PFC.
|
Ludwig can you copy/paste the settings to me so I can compare them?
|
You should probably get the guy that sold you the ECU to support you. ;)
|
Hi boosted,
Do you have the resistance curve/chart available? Thanks. |
I don't. The stock one should be fine as it is a replacement for the pfc. Just fast acting

I have triumph sensor, what ECU are you running?

ok so its like 77 degrees out right now and mines showing 95. so either my fast acting IAT is bad, or these settings from the stock map aint right.

A) the turbo puts out hot air even at idle, B) your radiator is pump hot air into your engine bay, C) if you have it connected to your UIM, your UIM is connected to a 195 degree block... |
Key on engine not running should be fairly close to ambient.

Plugged my buddy's in while sitting outside the manifold. 91 degrees. And it's only 78 in the garage. Something's fishy. Anyone?

Hi boosted, I've sent you a PM. Thanks.

Every map in the thread below starting with #3, has a Triumph sensor that is calibrated with a DVM thermocouple. It's not lab grade or anything but it should be very close.
FYI, a few folks in this thread have warned not to pull out too much fuel when the AIT reads hot air. This is very true, especially when the engine first starts from being heat soaked. It takes a bit of driving to bring the sensor our of heat soak and into reality. https://www.rx7club.com/adaptronic-e.../#post11460732 |
