Cranking with no start, until fuel cut?? Log file attached

Having trouble with my car taking a long time to start, and sometimes i have to sit there for minutes trying to get it to start but it seems like a hit and miss problem? Took a log file of it cranking, and here it is. If you look at the injector ms at 43.5 seconds to 44 seconds, the ms drops to 1ms from 5ms. Which means its fuel cutting. But if you look at the RPM during that time, that's when it actually starts running? Which is weird because I don't understand why it finally starts after but only when it fuel cuts like this. I know this setting is controlled with the "cut after _ cranking periods" but why does this happen? How can I fix this? In this log file, it started fairly quickly, but only because I lowered that setting down to 8 starting periods instead of the 20 it was defaulted at. Any help here? Also one last question, what does that "Trim %" mean in the log file? Single turbo FD with ID1000/ID2000 injectors

It starts after it goes to fuel cut because its getting too much fuel during cranking, and then it slowly leans out as it fuel cuts( a decent amount stays in the chamber, and with each crank a % is exhaled out the exhaust). Every car is different here, and each car will need to tuning here, and you just need to play around with settings until it fires on its own. This problem is more pronounced on cars with lower idle( as the throttle plates aren't open as much), cars with larger porting, and cars with smaller batteries, or with relocated batteries. Trim percent is the difference between the target AFR map, and your actual AFR. However its probably not reading right for starting unless you have hardwired the O2 to get its power signal from battery( generally turns off while engine is cranking and resets).

Have you read the ECU manual?
