car shuts off at WOT
hello there i just installed the pnp 420 select ecu for my s4 turbo 2 and the cas is set and start up is good and idle cas been set.
but at WOT it basically cuts off past 3k i can baby the throttle to 5k but a stab at wot is a instant cut off almost like i cut the key off thats how bad it is i have tried almost every thing and iam stumped :scratch::scratch: fuel pressure is 40 psi 37 under full load when cut off happens wide band goes rich then back to lean when this happens fuel map is still the base map engine is small street port front mount inter cooler smoke tested and pressure tested intake manifolds and inter cooler check injectors and they click once during test all 4 injector set up 750 primary and 1000 secondary's https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing here are some logs of my situation |
Are you using the factory pressure sensor or are you using the internal MAP sensor in the ECU? I opened both your logs in megalogviewer and saw some weird responses from your map sensor.
|
internal map sensor is used.
now that you point that out i see that as well i have about 2 feet of line between the ecu and the vacuum port think i should shorten the line i could run it right into the fire wall and cut about 1 foot off the line also no line filter is use input is to factory map port next to IAC unit and the internal map is corrected to 0 with engine off +3 to get that value |
What happens if you do not stab it? So you ease it into and then accelerate ?
It sounds like the MAP prediction table needs some tuning( I am seeing an 18 AFR when you stab it in some spots). It can be hard to adjust the initial throttle response hibt( map prediction table) with a wideband o2 sensor only. Its too slow to catch it by just watching a gauge. I usually pay more attention to the sound and feel of the motor. Fuel pressure should be raising as you stab the throttle. Are you just watching a mechanical gauge? I don't see it in the logs. Can we see your map? Also you should email tech@adaptronic.com.au the logs ecu/file for additional help. |
UPDATE found the problem fuel pressure dropping fast stabbing the gas is a 15psi drop and holding it drops it down to 10psi fuel pump was a new aeromotive stealth 340lph
i picked up a factory tt supra pump and fuel pressure is steady at 39psi with the aeromotive unit i had great idle pressure but under load it would drop like crazy my plan not is to get another tt supra pump and run duals in tank staged by the ecu at 4000 rpm my next question is that i heard dual staged pumps are hard to tune should i set ecu to trigger 2nd pump by load or rpm thanks again for the help |
I highly doubt you need a dual pump system. I have made 440rwhp on that pump with pump gas( that was the max it would make and did drop 2-4 psi at the end).
Are you sure you don't have a clogged fuel filter ? |
Dual pumps are not hard to tune if you have a decent enough fuel pressure regulator. We stage our cars based off MAP pressure.

I have one more ? The alternator seems to not charge at idle the logs show that 2 iam testing the system and I have read a lot of the other posts checking on what should have power on those two wires but I'm running into the issue where the L terminal that goes to the idiot light cluster does have the 2.8 volts with the key on but none of my idiot lights come on inside the car is this because I have the adatronic ECU plugged in I also to have switched 12 volts at the r terminal and but none of the idiot lights come on when cycling the key is this a concern or should I just continue reading the car because voltage does eventually go at 13 at around 3,000 rpm |
