Adaptronic Tablet Dash Information

With the use of the new Adaptronic Eugene Software( standard on the new modular ecus, and backwards compatible on the Select models( E420D/E440D/PNP models)) one can use a tablet dash via USB to display all of the ecu parameters. One can modify the display however you want, and even tune the ECU( when using the keyboard). The tablet is much bigger than any display dash, and much cheaper than having an entire set of gauges. Not all tables will work, and we recommend the unit described in the video below. We have machined a mount, and will be selling the dash + mount at a very affordable price very soon. We are looking at roughly $450.

I've been looking forward to implementing this ever since you first unveiled the new feature in Eugene several months ago.

Is it, or will it be possible to customise gauge appearance or design your own custom skins as you currently can with the OBDII apps already widely available for Android etc?

Turblown 07-07-16 09:53 AM

You can customize the skins based on what is available in Eugene software.

So size of the gauge, gauge type, placement, and what the gauge reads currently. You can download Eugene software right now and play around with it.

Consider selling just the mount for the tablet or mount and tablet without software?

The software is free. The mount is designed for this tablet and we do not intend to confirm if it works with others. Same goes for the tablet, only certain tablets will work with this software.

Are you able to let us know which tablets are compatible?

What about phones if a smaller display is wanted?

I'm thinking along the lines of a 5" phone installed in the centre speaker location, angled towards the driver https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...d73d9dc80b.gif

Marf,

The tablet that is used is detailed in the video. It has to be one that supports desktop version of windows 10. The mount is specific for that tablet, so you cannot use this mount with ANY other tablet.

OK - not overly interested in the mount, just the whole tablet as gauges idea.

If the limitation is simply the tablet must be able to run windows 10 desktop, then Eugene based gauges should be possible a compatible tablet from any manufacturer/tablet size :)

Marf,

You are correct, assuming the tablet works. We are selling this combo as something we know works, and is easy to make fit.

...any chance you offer the dash or at least the tablet mount in a smaller version? 10" is way too big if you want fit it in the oem cockpit. I guess 7" is enough and would look much bettter...

I wanted to follow up with the above post on a smaller size tablet. From my research Windows 10 will only run on 8" tablets and above now. I am interested in this because I would like to remove my radio and current defi gauges running a tablet in the center console. I think Eugene could answer the mail on this but I don't want to replace my entire cluster for a 10" since the car is daily driven as well.

Any insight on this for people desiring a smaller tablet. I can't seem to find minimum requirement specifications short of being a windows 10 based tablet.
