Adaptronic 440 select ECU wiring

OK,

I am wiring up my new 440d and I have a few questions about the wiring diagram it is clear to those verse in electronics but not so much for the layman and I have wired a few ECUs.... this could b a bit more user friendly.

First off the sensor ground, I know i have to use this for all the sensors but do I splice and join off 2c or could I use 2d as well.

What aux output do I use for my electric fan I assume aux 6 output or aux 2 as they will need to act as a PWN.

I plan to hook up the launch control and I know I need vehicle speed could I use the signal from the speedo for that?

OK I will update my own thread here on a few facts

Chassis ground on diagram is grounded to engine in our case one per rotor housing

As for sensor ground just splice and join to 2c or 2d same sensor ground for all your sensor ground needs.

note you need to fuse the ECU, fuel pump, injectors and coils,

Relays to fuel pump and coils and as for ECU ad injectors(not sure yet).

Aux output 6 for electric fan

Aux output 5 for the fuel pump

Aux output 8 for tacho output

Hi mate,

Sensor ground - you don't have to join 2C and 2D together as they are internally connected in the ECU. So that also means you can really use either.

Here's what we normally recommend for aux outputs:

Aux 1 - For high current actuators e.g. on/off and PWM solenoids (Aux 1 becomes disabled when you go direct fire)
Aux 2 - For high current actuators e.g. PWM solenoid (2-wire idle valve)
Aux 3 - For high current actuators e.g. PWM solenoid (boost control solenoid)
Aux 4 - For high current actuators <- non PWM capable
Aux 5 - low current use e.g. fuel pump relay
Aux 6 - low current use e.g. thermofan relay
Aux 7 - low current use e.g. A/C relay
Aux 8 - low current use e.g. tacho output (needs pullup - Tacho Wiring - also about 4AGE wiring)

If you're using the OMP, then you can wire these instead

Aux 4 - tacho output
Aux 5 - low current use e.g. fuel pump relay
Aux 6 - low current use e.g. thermofan relay
Aux 7 - low current use e.g. OMP control using an external stepper driver interface
Aux 8 - low current use e.g. OMP control using an external stepper driver interface

And yes you can use the speedo output wire as VSS input to the ECU.

Thanks.

Where do i get a pull up for my tacho?

You use one of these
https://www.rx7club.com/adaptronic-e...ersal-1052402/

One side of the resistor to 12v, the other side, together with the aux out signal.

Thanks Silentblu!

Here's the schematic for it if it helps.
