yes boost problems
well i was coming home from my high schools auto tech shop( yes they have a lift to jack the car in the air:) and i was checking to see if my boost was ok. so i am in 3rd and hit it at wot. i look at my gauge and it says 10 psi. ok good. then when i hit 4500 the boost droped to 5 psi and stayed there until redline? could this be a vac line. i thought when you had a vac line pop off or crack it would drop to 7psi? need suggestions.

Interesting.
When I first had my FD and it was still seq....I had an issue similar to this where I would get full boost in 1st gear, np...then shift into 2nd and only like 5psi...and when I let off I got this loud "BOOOWWWOOOOOHHH" sound.. Somebody said to me once that it is/was "turbo blow-back"....*shrugs* Point is, I never found out what caused it. Lazy-old-me, I ended up doing the Poor Man's Non-Seq. I'd be interested in finding out what it may have been. |
anyone????
