Y Pipe Compatibility?

OKAY,,, I AM LOOKING INTO THE M2 SMIC FOR THE BEAST. ARE THEY COMPATIBLE WITH THE EFINI Y PIPE? HOW CAN I BE SURE "BEFORE" PURCHASING EITHER OF THE TWO?

Depends on what you mean by compatible.

I have read that you will have to saw off a portion of the Efini Y-pipe to get it to fit with the M2 intercoolers. I don't remember for sure, but it might have been Tim Benton that posted this, do a search for his posts to confirm.

If you want a drop in fit with the M2 and Efini Y-pipe, it is probably not "compatible".

Keyboard CAPS stuck or are you just yelling at us?...j/k

Best idea is to call or e-mail M2 directly - but from what I have seen fitting the M2 intercoolers w/ the Efini 'Y' pipe requires modification to the 'Y' pipe & or Intercooler piping. The Greedy/TriPoint and SR SMIC will fit w/ the Efini 'Y' pipe w/o modifications, altough the bottom tank on the SR has to be modified to fit with thicker than stock Radiators (SR Ultimate, Koyo etc, Fludine should be OK)

It does indeed take some modifying to fit together. More time consuming than anything. I had to cut the top part of my Y-pipe off, about 1/4 inch, and then also the hose I had needed to be trimmed so that the crossover pipe would push down further without the hose stopping it because of it being bunched up on the curve underneath. Once its back together, its nice knowing its a pretty damn good setup though, nice flowing, etc.
