Sorry but whats Pblaster :)

PB Blaster. Its oil in a spray can that penetrates into stuck parts to help loosen them. Other brand names of penetrating oil are: Kroil, Liquid Wrench.

i would highly recommend investing in some PB.

what ever happen to the good old WD-40

rexhvn 07-15-07 09:42 PM

I've been using WD-40, but it's not working!!! Unless i'm just really weak lol. But these bolts are going no where! I'll go to shopping for PB and hope it works! Its killing me lol.

Thanks guys.

Make sure you grab a few photos while your doing it. I won't be starting mine till later this week but will keep you update as well.

Good old Sydney... yet to go there lol... do you see many FD's there? I live in Victoria... I rarely see them!!
I'm planning to do a write up with pictures hopefully within the next couple of days... depends on this tight as bolts!!! Its pretty straight forward, the bolts are killing me though!!!

rexhvn 07-15-07 11:55 PM

Ok... so i've come to the conclusion that the bolts are not coming off with my strength lol... so i decided to take it to a local mechanic to loosen them up... now is it safe to drive my FD with the diff bushes lose? Without bolts for about 6 minutes in total all city driving? I'll be driving veryyyyyyyu slow... thanks.

rexhvn 07-16-07 01:33 AM

Update: the diff mount of finally out! Had no trouble getting the sucker out with was good! I've never been so happy to see a part off my FD :P but the bushes are being pressed in tomorrow due to not having a press machine... and see how the superpro bushes are!!!

rexhvn 07-16-07 08:59 PM

So the bushings are in! Diff mount is back in with all 4 bolts... now... with the bolts that go through the bushings, am I able to put it through from either direction or can I only do it through one way? Because one way doesn't seem to go through, and the other way is far to close to the diff in order for me to tighten it... thanks,

rexhvn 07-16-07 11:21 PM

Bushings are in! All done!!! Now to test the superpro bushings!!!
