Wiring harness removal help.

I watched the FD R&R video and in that video he jsut disconnects the wiring harness and removes the ABS heat shield and pulls it through the fireswall.

On my car I removes the ABS heat shield and I notice my wiring harness goes through the firewall at a differnt spot. Mine goes through way behind the ABS unit way below the wiper motor. I dont see anyway to even get ahold of it without removing the ABS unit.

Anyone else encounter this? Anyway for em to pull the harness through w/o removing or disconnecting the ABS unit?

if you cant reach it, a nice long crow bar is your friend.

What i do is take off the heat shield and then take of the ABS brace then the wire harness just comes right out. It really shouldn't be that hard to reach.

Yea thats the right spot, its under wiper motor, behind the ABS unit.
if you have a pry bar long enough, you don't even have to remove the abs shields.

Take out all the stuff from around the ABS and you can get to it and pull it threw.

No need to take the ABS or shield off.

I've never taken the ABS or shield off or anything else.

I either push it out from inside the car or use a long pry bar.

To reinstall it I squirt a little Windex or Armor All on the boot and pop it in really easily with a couple long pry bars again. Long screwdrivers work great too.
