wired the fans to high speed
 

I wired my fans to come on at high speed, just wondering will this put a major strain on my battery and or hurt the car running them at high speed. would like some opinions, dont see any higher than 180F flooring it.

I used to run my fan on the highway with my FMIC but never really saw much of a difference in engine temps. Draw on batt according to PFC was not any different. I don't think it hurts but I also don't think its all that necessary.

can you tell me how you went about doing that. What color wires ?

Did you "wire them to run at high speed" all the time while the key is on, or do you have a grounded switch wired to the relays?

probably won't affect the charging system as much as it will the life of your fan motors. they won't last very long if you over use them. there's nothing like the smell of a burning electrical motor. :)

I wired 2 bosch relays (1 for each fan) directly to the fans and wired them to the green wire on the fan with is the high speed wire and connected it to work with my microtech and they come on at 60C but for some reason the are toggling between med and high so I'm just gonna ground all 4 to turn on with switch on.

You "wired them to the green wire on the fan which is the high speed wire"? You do know that the other wires (connected to the four stock relays) have to be energized first in order for the fans to run at high speed, right? That's why it was "toggling between medium and high"; only when the other relays were energized would high fan speed engage. Grounding the stock relays (as I think you were referring to) would be the better choice.
